The sensor is configured to measure a depth of a target material on a surface of the vessel, and the cleaning device is configured to generate a cleaning force. The cleaning processing device is configured to receive a plurality of depth measurements of the target material on the surface, determine a cleaning protocol for the cleaning device on the surface based on the plurality of depth measurements, and control the cleaning apparatus to cause the cleaning device to apply the cleaning force to the surface pursuant to the cleaning protocol.

Sanitary rotary tank cleaning apparatus

A rotary tank cleaning spray nozzle assembly which includes a stationary housing, a rotary housing for rotation about a central axis of the stationary housing, and a nozzle carrying hub supported by the rotary housing for rotation about an axis transverse to the axis of the stationary housing. A support rod extends through the rotary housing and into the stationary housing with a lower end supporting the underside of the rotary housing and the upper end being secured by a retainer. The retainer is releasable to permit removal of the rotary housing and nozzle hub from an underside of the stationary housing. A fluid driven drive for the rotary housing and nozzle hub includes a pair of removably mounted bevel gear rings. In one embodiment, liquid lubricating, frustoconical, high load carrying bearings support rotatably.

A device and a method for ejecting a fluid are provided. The device comprises a main pipe, a rotatable housing connected to the main pipe and a hub provided with a nozzle. The hub is rotatably connected to the housing. The fluid is arranged to be conveyed through the main pipe and the housing to said nozzle for ejection of the fluid, and the hub is arranged to rotate about an axis arranged with an angle in relation to a longitudinal axis of the main pipe. The angle between the axes is arranged to vary between 90 and 90+, 245, when the housing rotates one revolution.

CLEANING APPARATUS

A cleaning apparatus 1 includes: a pivot rotary shaft 8 attached with a nozzle 3; a first motor 14 for revolving and rotating the pivot rotary shaft 8 via an inner tube 7 and bevel gears 11 and 12; a second motor 16 for solely rotating an outer tube 15; and a control device 18 for controlling the operation of both the motors 14 and 16. The outer tube 15, and the pivot rotary shaft 8 and the nozzle 3 are operated together via the bevel gears 11 and 12. The first motor 14 is operated with the cleaning fluid W being sprayed from the nozzle 3 to rotate the nozzle 3 and the pivot rotary shaft 8, and the second motor 16 is operated at a required rotational frequency. Then, as a result of the outer tube 15 being rotated, the nozzle 3 is revolved while being inclined in a required direction without being rotated. This makes it possible to preferentially spray the cleaning fluid W onto required areas of the inner surface 2A of the tank 2. It is possible to suppress consumption of the cleaning fluid W and electric power, and efficiently clean the inner surface 2A of the tank 2.

Monitoring of systems for internal cleaning of containers

A monitoring arrangement monitors the operation of a cleaning-in-place system which is operable to remove contaminations, deposits and other impurities from the internal walls of a container. The CIP system comprises a pipe for extending into the container through a wall portion of the container, and a nozzle head for ejecting liquid into the container in a predetermined pattern. The monitoring arrangement comprises a sensor unit with a sensing surface responsive to liquid impact for enabling the sensor unit to emit a sensor signal indicative of the liquid impact. The sensing surface is elongated and configured to extend along a perimeter of the pipe when the sensor unit is mounted at the wall portion of the container. This enables improved performance of a processing unit that obtains and processes the sensor signal for monitoring the operation of the CIP system.

Device for cleaning an object

A cleaning device for cleaning an object having a peripheral edge defining a tubular portion of the object that is open at least one of its ends. The cleaning device has a cleaning enclosure, a first fluid feed duct for feeding fluid to the enclosure, and a first fluid discharge duct for discharging fluid from the enclosure. The cleaning enclosure has first and second enclosure portions. When the device is in its closed configuration at least one central zone of the second enclosure portion extends inside the first enclosure portion in order to define a reception space for receiving the object between the first enclosure portion and the central zone, which reception space extends all around the central portion.
