A stand-alone chamber or multi-chamber inhalation system has at least two alternative vaporized test liquid supply systems for passive or self-administered delivery of vaporized test fluid and air to one or more test chambers, which can be passive or restraint chambers, based on operator selection of delivery on and off times in a passive mode or actuation of an actuator in the chamber by a test animal in a self-administered mode. In one case, a multiple inhalation chamber system has two or more separate test fluid delivery systems and provides options for selective passive uniform drug delivery to multiple chambers or selective delivery of two or more different drugs to different groups of chambers from different delivery systems so that two different drugs or different concentrations of delivered drugs can be tested simultaneously.

A dual axes swivel connector for connecting various panels to assemble a pet enclosure is disclosed. The dual axes swivel connector allows panels of the enclosure to be reliably pivoted with respect to each other. The dual axes swivel connector may comprise first and second parts. The first part may be fabricated from a flexible material compared to the second part, whereas the second part may be fabricated from a more rigid material compared to the first part. The flexibility of the first part allows the first part to have a tighter fit with the wire rods. The second part has a looser fit with the wire rods but the rigidity of the second part compensates for the looser fit. When the first and second parts are interlocked, they create a tight fit which can reliably provide a hinge between the panels.

A deployable corral system for a transport trailer, such as a livestock trailer, provides a readily deployable corral along the trailer, and is readily stowable along the trailer in a retracted configuration for travel. The corral includes a pair of spaced-apart and pivotably-extendable corral rails with a cross-rail extending between distal ends of the extendable corral rails. When the extendable corral rails are extended the cross-rail is spaced from an exterior side of the livestock trailer, and when the extendable corral rails are retracted the cross-rail is positioned near a roof of the trailer. A drive system is operable to move the extendable corral rails between the extended and retracted positions. Optionally, the drive system is powered by motors associated with linear or rotary actuators. Further options may include storage bins along the cross-rail, a deployable shade awning, and a deployable trough.

A barrier comprises at least one grating comprising a plurality of elongated openings; a winch positioned above the at least the one grating and rotatable between first and second positions; and at least one cable connected at a first end to the winch and at a second end to the at least one grating, the at least one cable holding the at least one grating in an upright position on a support surface when the winch is in the first position and lifting the at least one grating from the support surface towards the winch during rotation of the winch from the first position to the second position.

A gating system comprising a gate, footplate, formed latch assemblies, formed tab end assemblies, c-bracket, and parallel structural members which provides infinite mounting points to connect gates to slotted floor slates with a footplate. The gating system simplifies the design, manufacture, installation, and operation of animal management.

A kit for articulated connection between dividing panels having a pair of male pieces with a coupling protrusion; and a pair of female pieces with a coupling hole, the protrusions engage the holes when relative vertical movement between the pair of male and female pieces is produced when fixed to the panels. One of the first or second pair of pieces is configured with a depression such that the coupling protrusion or the coupling hole is arranged in the groove. The kit includes an auxiliary piece with a retaining pin actuatable with a lever and with an angled end, fixable to the lateral wing of one of the male pieces, the pin remaining parallel to the lateral wing and outside the panel. Regulated by the lever, the angled retaining end of the pin can be arranged in at least two positions: a release position and a locking position.

A pet kennel is disclosed as it may be manufactured to appear as furniture. An example of the pet kennel may include a housing having a floor, a top, and four sides, wherein the floor and the top are wooden, and at least one of the sides has metal rods in a wooden frame. The example pet kennel may also include a containment area formed within the housing, the containment area sufficiently large to fit multiple animals. At least one divider may be installed to separate the containment area into distinct living space. The at least one divider may be removed to provide a common living space. The at least one pet kennel may also include at least one door to the containment area, and a lock on the at least one door.

The poultry migration fence system includes at least one fence panel attached to at least one side of a U-shaped open archway. At least one selectively pivotal support rail is mounted to the bottom of the fence panel. The archway allows the fence system to be easily installed by sliding the open end of the archway over a suspended feed/water pipe. The pivotal support rail can be pivoted to a support position where the support rail extends orthogonal to the fence panel in order to provide a stable base for maintaining the upright position of the fence panel and pivoted to a storage position parallel to the extension of the fence panel. A swiveling gate is pivotally attached to one of the legs of the archway so that the gap at the open end can be selectively closed, thereby preventing poultry from crossing towards the other side of the fence panel. Both solid and wire fence panels are provided.

A method of feeding a carnivore by untrained persons while providing safety the animal and the person feeding the animal. An enclosure for the animal has a transparent or substantially transparent barrier observation barrier. The observation barrier has a void formed therein into which a piece of meat may be pushed, such as by pushing with a finger of a person. The piece of meat is elongated and may be pushed through the void until a portion of the meat exits the void on the side of the barrier in which the carnivore is located. The void is of sufficient length that the user's finger will not exit the void on the side of the barrier in which the carnivore is located. The transparent or substantially transparent barrier provides the illusion that the person is feeding the animal by hand.
