Method of manufacturing a tube and a machine for use therein
A method is used to manufacture a drawn tube having a hollow low interior for housing an axle shaft. The method includes the steps of placing a billet into a first die assembly and pressing the billet into the first die to producing a pre-formed billet. The method also includes the steps of moving the pre-formed billet from the first die assembly to a second die assembly and pressing the pre-formed billet into the second die assembly to produce an extruded tube. The method further includes the steps of moving the extruded tube from the second die assembly to a third die assembly and pressing the extruded tube into the third die assembly to further elongate the extruded tube and decrease the thickness of the wall of the extruded tube to of from about 3 to about 18 millimeters to produce the drawn tube having the yield strength of at least 750 MPa.
Instrument panel beam, pair of brackets, and instrument panel beam assembly
An instrument panel beam is the instrument panel beam that is arranged in the width direction of an automobile, and includes: a large-diameter hollow tube having a hollow cylindrical shape; and a small-diameter hollow tube which is joined to the large-diameter hollow tube in an axial direction, has a diameter that is smaller than that of the large-diameter hollow tube, and has a hollow cylindrical shape. The small-diameter hollow tube includes two flat plates that extend in a longitudinal direction and two bends that are curved in a circumferential direction, and the flat plates and the bends are alternately arranged in the circumferential direction.
High-pressure line
The invention relates to a high-pressure line for conveying a fluid under high pressure to a consumer, in particular for supplying fuel under injection pressure to one or more injectors (14) of a combustion engine. It comprises a first (1), a second (2), and a third line section (3), which line sections (1, 2, 3) are flowed through successively in the intended operation of the high-pressure line and are jointly formed by a ones-piece component (4) made of metal, wherein the first line section (1) and the third line section (3) each have a smaller flow cross-section than the second line section (2) arranged between them.
