FORMING DEVICE AND FORMING METHOD
A forming device includes a gas supply part supplying a gas into a metal pipe material held and heated between a first die and a second die paired with each other. A driving mechanism moves at least one of the first die and the second die in a direction in which the dies are combined together. A first cavity part is formed between the first die and the second die to form the pipe part. A second cavity part communicates with the first cavity part to form the flange part. A flange forming member can be allowed to advance or retreat in the second cavity part, and forms the flange part. A controller controls the gas supply of the gas supply part, the driving of the driving mechanism, and the advance or retreat of the flange forming member.

Water pipe for which hydroforming is employed, and a production method therefor
Disclosed are a double water pipe manufactured via hydroforming and a method of manufacturing the same. The method includes: inserting an inner pipe into an outer pipe made of steel, the inner pipe being made of a corrosion resistant material selected from among stainless steel, titanium and aluminum, and having a smaller outer diameter than an inner diameter of the outer pipe; placing the outer pipe on a die unit and sealing opposite ends of the die unit with sealing members each having a through-hole connected to a fluid supply unit for supplying a fluid to the inner pipe; supplying the fluid to the inner pipe to perform plastic expansion of the inner pipe and elastic expansion of the outer pipe; and discharging the fluid from the inner pipe to allow frictional coupling between the inner pipe and the outer pipe through elastic restoration of the outer pipe.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A LINE COMPONENT
According to the manufacturing method of the invention the line component. In particular an additively fabricated line component, comprises a line element for conducting a fluid from a first opening to a second opening, and a line branching connected with the line element for conducting the fluid to a third opening, wherein an outer region of the line component is designed load-compliant by means of a numerical optimization program and thereby includes a multitude of irregular topological structures in its outer region. In the manufacturing method of the line component a notch is incorporated on the inside of the line element, which serves to relieve a tension in a highly loaded state of the line component or the line element, a particle-filled gas stream is guided through the interior of the line component, in order to smooth the inside of the line component and/or the line component is subjected to a pressurization, in order to produce a plastic deformation on an inner surface of the line component.

Method of hydroforming an extruded aluminum tube with a flat nose corner radius
A method of hydroforming a vehicle rail from an extruded aluminum tube includes the steps of positioning the extruded aluminum tube into a hydroforming die and partially closing the hydroforming die. Next is the step of applying a liquid under a first level of pressure to the extruded aluminum tube in the hydroforming die. This is followed by engaging an inner radius of a bend in the extruded aluminum tube with the hydroforming die before completely closing the hydroforming die and increasing the level of liquid pressure in the workpiece to a second level to form and hydro-pierce a part from the extruded aluminum tube.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A VEHICLE BODY COMPONENT
A method of manufacturing a vehicle body component as a flange-integrated tube may include step (a) of forming a pipe material having a closed cross-section with a preset shape, step (b) of cold-forming at least one flange on the pipe material forming a flange formed material, and step (c) of performing hydroforming on the flange formed material having the at least one flange by using liquid pressure.
