Steel sheet member and method for producing the same
A method for producing a steel sheet member, includes: forming at least one pair of opposing strip grooves in a flat steel sheet such that one of the pair of opposing strip grooves is disposed in one of opposite surfaces of the steel sheet, the other of the pair of opposing strip grooves is disposed in the other of the opposite surfaces, and the strip grooves extend in a direction crossing a longitudinal direction of the steel sheet; heating the steel sheet having the strip grooves to a temperature higher than an austenite transformation finish temperature; and placing the heated steel sheet between an upper die and a lower die to press-form the steel sheet while cooling. When press-forming the steel sheet while cooling, there is space between each of the upper and lower dies and a bottom of a corresponding one of the strip grooves.
Method for manufacturing press molded product
A method for manufacturing a press molded product includes forming a plurality of corner portions in a pressed portion of a pressed member, providing the pressed member between a first die and a second die, and press molding the pressed portion to decrease a height of the pressed portion. The press molding includes forming a pair of first bent portions in the pressed portion by means of the corner portions, the pair of first bent portions being bent to protrude toward the second die, forming a second bent portion in the pressed portion by means of the corner portions while holding the pair of first bent portions by a pair of holding portions, the second bent portion being bent to protrude toward the first die from a position between the pair of first bent portions, and pressing and deforming the second bent portion.
Tailored panel assembly and method of manufacturing the same
A panel assembly is formed by a plurality of bonds between two sheet materials in a face to face relationship to form a preform. The plurality of bonds define a closed perimeter region between the two sheet materials and an open perimeter region between the two sheet materials. The preform may be formed into a predefined shape. Pressurized fluid is applied through an inlet into the open perimeter region to expand the preform. The pressurized fluid expands the open perimeter region such that the two sheet materials expand in an opposing direction, thereby defining an expanded open perimeter region. The closed perimeter region between the two sheet materials remains vacant of the pressurized fluid such that the closed perimeter region is not expanded. The expanded open perimeter region is filled with a filler material for improving a performance characteristic of the panel assembly, e.g., strength, sound absorption, or stiffness.
STEEL SHEET, TAILORED BLANK, HOT STAMPED PRODUCT, STEEL PIPE, HOLLOW HOT STAMPED PRODUCT, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING STEEL SHEET
This steel sheet has a base steel sheet, a coated portion, and an exposed portion, the shape of the end edge side of the steel sheet and the end portion on the outer side of the base steel sheet is a protruded curve represented by a curvature radius R1 and R1 is 5 μm or more.
AL-FE-ALLOY PLATED STEEL SHEET FOR HOT FORMING, HAVING EXCELLENT TWB WELDING CHARACTERISTICS, HOT FORMING MEMBER, AND MANUFACTURING METHODS THEREFOR
Provided is an Al—Fe-alloy plated steel sheet for hot forming, having excellent TWB welding characteristics since excellent hardness uniformity of a TWB weld zone after hot forming is obtained by suitably controlling a batch annealing condition, after plating Al, such that an Al—Fe-alloy layer is formed; a hot forming member; and manufacturing methods therefor.
METAL MEMBER MANUFACTURING METHOD
A metal member manufacturing method according to one form of this disclosure is a method of manufacturing a metal member that is thinner at some portions than at other portions. The method includes a formation step of pressing one surface of surfaces of a metal workpiece that are perpendicular to a thickness direction with a press-working die so as to form a raised portion in the other surface, and a cutting step of moving a cutting blade along the other surface to cut off the raised portion by shaving. In the formation step, the raised portion is formed such that the area of a cross-section of the raised portion that is parallel to a moving direction of the cutting blade and perpendicular to the other surface decreases toward an end of the raised portion on a rear side in the moving direction of the cutting blade.
Method for manufacturing a semifinished product or a part made of metal and fiber composite
A method for manufacturing a semifinished product or part is disclosed in which a metal support embodied as a metal sheet or blank is covered with at least one prepreg containing a thermally cross-linkable thermosetting matrix with endless fibers, the thermosetting matrix of the prepreg is pre-cross-linked by means of heating, and the metal support covered with the pre-cross-linked prepreg is formed into a semifinished product or part by means of deep drawing or stretch deep drawing. In order to enable plastic deformation in fiber-reinforced regions of the metal support, it is proposed that during the pre-cross-linking of the thermosetting matrix of the prepreg, its matrix is transferred into a viscosity state that is higher than its minimum viscosity and prior to reaching its gel point, the prepreg is formed together with the metal support.
Method for producing a welded metal blank and thus obtained welded metal blank
A method for producing a welded metal blank (16) includes cutting a first initial metal sheet (1) and a second initial metal sheet (3) from a first and second metal strip (4); joining the first and second initial metal sheets (1,3) by welding so as to obtain an initial welded metal blank (9), the initial welded metal blank (9) comprising a weld joint (10) joining the first and the second initial metal sheets (1,3); and cutting said initial welded metal blank (9) by a process involving metal melting so as to obtain at least one final welded metal blank (16) comprising a first metal blank portion (17) and a second metal blank portion (18) joined by a weld joint portion (19) consisting of a portion of the weld joint (10) obtained during the joining step.
Longitudinal beam and method for the production thereof
A longitudinal beam for a motor vehicle and also to a method for the production of the longitudinal beam is disclosed. The longitudinal beam is produced from a lightweight metal profile. The extrusion direction of the lightweight metal profile runs transverse to the longitudinal direction of the longitudinal beam.
