10658899 · 2020-05-19 · ·

A yoke housing includes a tubular case and a flange. The tubular case is formed from a metal sheet in a drawing process. The flange is formed at an end of the tubular case. The flange has a width in the lateral direction that is equal to the outer diameter of the tubular case. The flange has a base including beads and a thick portion. Each of the beads is formed by compressing the base. A portion of the base in which the beads are not formed defines a thick portion. The thick portion is located at a middle portion of the flange in the lateral direction. The beads are located on opposite sides of the thick portion in the lateral direction.

Method for producing metal sheet with raised lines, metal sheet with raised lines, and structural component

A method for producing a metal sheet with raised lines uses a rolling mill including roll stands. In a preparing step, a grooved roll is prepared, the grooved roll including grooves. In a choosing step, a stand at least one stage before the last stand is chosen. In an incorporating step, the grooved roll is incorporated in as an upper roll of the chosen, specified stand. In a forming step, a workpiece is formed into a metal sheet with raised lines formed corresponding to the respective grooves. In the forming step, a maximum rolling reduction achieved by rolls of the specified stand is set to a provisional value that is lower than a required value. After the leading edge of the workpiece reaches the stand next to the specified stand, the maximum rolling reduction of the specified stand is changed to the required value.

Press forming method and vehicle component

Disclosed is a press forming method press forming a workpiece between a die and a punch, while pushing the punch into the die by means of a relative motion of the die and the punch, the method includes: producing an intermediate molding (100B) having ridges (100d) formed in predetermined parts of the workpiece, and then press forming the intermediate molding (100B) into a final shape, to thereby substantially thicken and work-harden the predetermined parts of the workpiece.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A CROSSMEMBER FOR A VEHICLE AND A CROSSMEMBER FOR A VEHICLE

A method for producing a crossmember for a vehicle prepares a workpiece having different thicknesses and a preliminary contour from a metal sheet of uniform thickness by flat roll forming to achieve different local thicknesses. The method cuts out the workpiece, and bending roll forms the workpiece to form a crossmember with a cross section having at least two flanges opposite one another, and a web situated between said flanges. The distance between the flanges is not constant along a longitudinal extent of the crossmember, and a thickness profile at least of the web is determined by the flat roll forming. The local thicknesses and the preliminary contour are such that a geometrical shape of the crossmember corresponds to a predetermined geometrical shape with different thicknesses and heights of the web and differently shaped regions of the flanges along the longitudinal extent of the crossmember.

Al—Fe-alloy plated steel sheet for hot forming, having excellent TWB welding characteristics, hot forming member, and manufacturing methods therefor

Provided is an AlFe-alloy plated steel sheet for hot forming, having excellent TWB welding characteristics since excellent hardness uniformity of a TWB weld zone after hot forming is obtained by suitably controlling a batch annealing condition, after plating Al, such that an AlFe-alloy layer is formed; a hot forming member; and manufacturing methods therefor.

Press-hardened shaped sheet-metal part having different sheet thicknesses and strengths

A press-hardened shaped sheet-metal part, in particular a pillar reinforcement for a motor vehicle bodyshell, which has different sheet thicknesses and strengths, with an unhardened first region, or a first region which is hardened only to a small extent, and with a press-hardened second region, wherein the second region has a larger or smaller sheet thickness than the first region. A transition region, which, starting from the first region, has a sheet thickness transition zone, an intermediate zone, and a strength transition zone, is formed between the first region and the second region.

According to an embodiment, a vehicle center pillar member is formed to have a hat-shaped cross-section by press-molding a tailored blank material formed by joining a plurality of members in a longitudinal direction along at least one joining line. The vehicle center pillar member includes a top plate portion and vertical wall portions on both sides of the top plate portion. The at least one joining line of the tailored blank material in the vertical wall portions is in the same direction as a pressing direction during press molding. According to the embodiment, in a configuration of the tailored blank material, the at least one joining line is bent in such a shape that members on both sides forming the tailored blank material are fitted together in a concave-convex manner in the top plate portion.

Method for producing a motor vehicle component

A method for producing a motor vehicle component from a lightweight metal alloy is disclosed including extruding a profile having at least two wall thicknesses that are mutually dissimilar in the cross section, rolling the extruded profile in portions in the extrusion direction. The rollers in the roller spacing thereof are variable. Cutting-to-length the extruded and in portions rolled profile so as to form a semi-finished product, and forming the semi-finished product so as to form the motor vehicle component.

A method for partial hardening of an austenitic steel by utilizing during cold deformation the TWIP (Twinning Induced Plasticity), TWIP/TRIP or TRIP (Transformation Induced Plasticity) hardening effect. Cold deformation is carried out by cold rolling at least one surface of the steel with forming degree () of 560% in order to achieve in the steel at least two consecutive areas with different mechanical values in thickness, yield strength (R.sub.p0.2), tensile strength (Rm) and elongation, having a ratio (r) between the ultimate load ratio (F) and the thickness ratio (t) of 1.0>r>2.0, and in which the areas are mechanically connected to each other by a transition area having a thickness that is variable from the thickness of the first area in the deformation direction to the thickness of the second area in the deformation direction.

Method of manufacturing plate-like molded body having a plurality of thickened portions, and plate-like molded body having a plurality of thickened portions

[Object] To provide a method of manufacturing a plate-like molded body having a thickened portion in a region spaced apart from an edge in a substantially flat plate-like portion. [Solution] Provided is a method of manufacturing a plate-like molded body having a plurality of thickened portions, including at least a drawing step of obtaining by a drawing process a cylindrical drawn molded body including a flat plate portion and a cylindrical drawn portion that swells in such a manner as to project from the flat plate portion and has a circular top portion. The drawing step includes a first step of pressing a region spaced apart from an edge in a plate-like member having a flat plate shape, with a first mold and a second mold, to form a concave curved portion in the plate-like member, and a second step of holding an outer circumferential section of the plate-like member between a third mold and a fourth hold while a region containing the concave curved portion in the plate-like member is held between the first mold and the second mold, and moving the first mold and the second mold relative to the third mold and the fourth mold to cause the region containing the concave curved portion to project with respect to the outer circumferential section and to obtain the cylindrical drawn molded body.
