METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING TEAR-OFF LIDS AND TEAR-OFF LID
A tear-off lid with a curled edge of the removal opening is formed such that before the edge is curled, a plastics layer provided as a band of low thickness and preferably only 0.1 mm thickness is applied to the collar of the lid ring. In this way, a good seal of the cut edge of the tear-off lid is produced economically and with the possibility for production at a high rate.
PUSH BUTTON CLOSURE
A container closure includes a generally planar body having a product side and a customer side. The container closure body defines a limited container opening and an actuation location. Further, the container body includes a force concentrating construction disposed adjacent the limited container opening.

BATTERY CASE LID AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR BATTERY CASE LID
A battery case lid is formed by working a metal plate, and includes a substrate section and an explosion-proof valve formed in the substrate section. The explosion-proof valve has a reduced thickness section that is thinner than the substrate section, and the reduced thickness section is formed by extending the metal plate by applying pressure while the metal plate is kept unrestrained.

Composite Lid of Container and Method of Attaching Metal Lid to Plastic Lid to Form Composite Lid of Container
A composite lid of a cylindrical container includes an outer metal lid having an integral top wall and sidewall and an inner plastic lid having a top wall and sidewall fitted inside the outer metal lid such that a free end of the sidewall of the inner plastic lid extends beyond a free end of the sidewall of the outer metal lid. The composite lid can be fitted on a base having an integral bottom wall and sidewall such that the sidewall of the inner plastic lid frictionally engages the sidewall of the base. The outer metal lid can be formed by stamping sheet metal, the inner plastic lid can be formed by molding a polymer material and the base can be formed by molding a polymer material. The outer metal lid can be adhesively bonded or mechanically fitted to the inner plastic lid.

SHELL SYSTEM LOCATING ASSEMBLY FOR SHELLS
An alignment assembly for a press assembly is provided. The alignment assembly includes a number of alignment elements. The alignment elements include a number of moving alignment elements. The moving alignment elements are coupled to an upper tooling assembly that moves between a first and second position. As the upper tooling assembly moves, the moving alignment elements move between a first position and a second position corresponding to the upper tooling assembly first position and a second position. The moving alignment elements are structured to move the shell from the initial alignment position to an intermediate alignment position. Thus, as the upper tooling assembly moves from the first position to the second position, the moving alignment elements contact a shell and move the shell from an initial alignment position to an intermediate alignment position.
