The invention relates to a method for producing a lid for closing a container, the lid reduces the risk of a user's injury when opening the container while being producible at relatively low costs. The method comprising the steps of providing a preform of the lid (10), wherein the preform of the lid (10) has opposing first and second sides (11, 12), wherein the first side (11) faces towards the inside of the container when the lid (10) is affixed to the container; forming a bead (20) in the preform of the lid (10), wherein the bead (20) extends out of said second side (12) in an axial direction from said first side (11) towards said second side (12), wherein the bead (20) comprises two radially spaced apart side wall portions (22, 24) and a bridge portion (26) connecting the side wall portions (22, 24); thinning the side wall portions (22, 24) of the bead (20) at least partially, thereby elongating the side wall portions (22, 24); forming a score line (30) in the bridge portion (26) of the bead (20) on said second side (12); and flattening the bead (20) such that the two thinned side wall portions (22, 24) collapse, thereby providing the lid (10).

Reclosable lid for a food or beverage container and having a vacuum or pressure release button
A sheet metal lid has a rim portion removably secured and sealed to a container and the lid includes a vent button having a top wall portion surrounded by a side wall portion and an outwardly projecting flange portion. The flange portion of the button has a short arcuate score or shear line extending substantially into the sheet metal, and additional score lines extend into the flange portion at lesser depths to protect a coating on the inner surface of the lid. A resilient sealant material may be bonded to the inner surface of the vent button, and the opposing sheet metal portions of the score line form a small gap for releasing a vacuum or pressure from the container in response to a controlled downward pressure on the top wall portion of the vent button.

A tear-off lid with a curled edge of the removal opening is formed such that before the edge is curled, a plastics layer provided as a band of low thickness and preferably only 0.1 mm thickness is applied to the collar of the lid ring. A pull tab crown for a bottle or other container provides an opener secured to the top of the crown. The crown has an annular skirt with an annular edge. A sealing system is for containers, in particular of the type that envisages sealing with an aluminum cap. Forming equipment of a cap or seal of weldable sealing material is for the application on the mouth of a container. A stamping device and a multi-lane shell stamping system, wherein the stamping device is used for simultaneous stamping of multiple shells, including a plurality of stamping die sets arranged in an array. Each stamping die set includes an upper die and a lower die. The upper die is integrally formed, and the outer diameter of the upper die is larger than that of the lower die, and the bottom edge of the upper die forms a locating part for the curling of the shell to be processed. The device and system eliminates the movable locating cup, which can avoid the difficulty of mounting and dismounting the die due to the compact six-lane structure. It also adopts the method of directly increasing the diameter of the upper die, which not only avoids the mounting and dismounting of the locating cup, but also realizes the locating effect of the shell.
