Cap for containers, plant, method and forming device for making said cap
A cap of the press-twist type for a container, includes: a metal capsule having a transversal wall of longest extension which extends transversely with respect to an axis of the container, and a lateral wall; a curling in the distal part with respect to the transversal wall of the lateral wall by means of a curling operation; a sealing gasket with an annular shape for engaging with an opening of the container. The sealing gasket is made of a PVC-free material and includes a lateral portion, positioned in contact with the lateral wall of the capsule, which includes two portions away from the transversal wall of the capsule: a first distal portion relative to the transversal wall of the capsule and a second proximal portion relative to the transversal wall of the capsule, with a thickness greater than the first distal portion.
Steam table pan
In accordance with one embodiment of the invention, there is provided an improved disposable aluminum pan for use with a chaffing rack and a pair of half pans. The pan includes a base terminating to a sidewall and a rim, which terminates to a rolled bead. The pan includes an inside length measured longitudinally across opposing sidewalls from the inside edge of the rim. The inside length is configured to be longer than a corresponding inside length of an unimproved pan. The pair of half pans when nested side by side in the improved pan can have adjacent sides of the half pans lay without overlap. The pan also allows for a lid to fit better. The pan also includes a deeper well such that the bottom is positioned closer to burners in the chaffing rack and allows more water to be added during the heating process.

In accordance with one embodiment of the invention, there is provided an improved disposable aluminum pan for use with a chaffing rack and a pair of half pans. The pan includes a base terminating to a sidewall and a rim, which terminates to a rolled bead. The pan includes an inside length measured longitudinally across opposing sidewalls from the inside edge of the rim. The inside length is configured to be longer than a corresponding inside length of an unimproved pan. The pair of half pans when nested side by side in the improved pan can have adjacent sides of the half pans lay without overlap. The pan also allows for a lid to fit better. The pan also includes a deeper well such that the bottom is positioned closer to burners in the chaffing rack and allows more water to be added during the heating process.

Method of manufacturing textured-smooth hybrid metal closure caps
A method of manufacturing a textured-smooth hybrid metal closure cap, and a closing caps produced by the method. The method includes a) the supply of a strip or sheet, made of aluminum alloy known as a textured strip or sheet, typically coated on at least one of its faces by a stampable lacquer, b) a first operation for cutting discs, called blanks, c) a step for stamping, in one or more passes, of said blank metal, typically using a stamping lubricant, so as to form a stamped blank, comprising a head and a skirt, typically axially symmetric in the axial direction, d) a step for degreasing said stamped blank, typically intended to eliminate the remaining lubricant, to form a degreased blank that can be lacquered, and e) an optional step of protective lacquering and decoration. After the stamping step, and before the lacquering step, at least one drawing step consisting in passing the stamped blank through drawing rings in order to stretch and thin the metal.

Foil for closing an opening of a container, a container part and a container, and a method and apparatus for making same
A foil for closing an opening in a container, such as an easy opening container, includes foil to be adhered to the container. The foil includes a tab for releasing the foil from the container. The tab is folded on the foil and connected thereto via a connector and the tab is provided with a breakout device such that upon actuating the tab a visible and irreparable broken out part is formed and adhered to the foil.
LID FOR A METAL CAN, COMPRISING A METAL RING AND A PEELABLE, HEAT-SEALED MEMBRANE
Disclosed is a lid suitable for closing a metal can, the lid including a metal ring onto which a peelable membrane is sealed. An inner annular part of the metal ring is equipped with a roll defining an annular space therebetween. The first connection portion of the roll and the second connection portion of the inner annular part opposite are sealed to one another by element of a heat-sealing material to form a seal sealing the annular space so at to protect the free edge of the roll. The invention also relates to a method for producing such a lid.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CONTAINER UPPER PLATE INCLUDING HANDLE COUPLED THERETO
An apparatus and method for manufacturing a container upper plate including a handle coupled thereto are disclosed. The apparatus includes a steel-plate-shaping unit for forming at least one projection on an upper surface of a steel plate, a holding-plate-supply unit for supplying a holding plate including a reception portion, and a mounting portion bilaterally extending from the reception portion and coupled to the steel plate, the mounting portion having at least one groove or at least one hole formed therein, to the steel-plate-shaping unit, a loading unit for loading the holding plate onto the steel plate such that the at least one projection on the steel plate is fitted into the at least one groove or the at least one hole, and a coupling unit for coupling the holding plate to the steel plate by pressing a fitted portion by means of a press plate.
