A catheter and guide wire assembly (10) for measurement of blood pressure in a living body, comprising: a proximal tube (11) having a distal end and a proximal end; a distal tube (12) having a distal end and a proximal end, which is connected to the distal end of the proximal tube (11); a fluid-permeable coil (13) having a distal end and a proximal end, which is connected to the distal end of the distal tube (12); a distal tip (14), in which the distal end of the fluid-permeable coil (13) is secured; and a core wire (16), which is attached in the proximal tube (11) and which extends through a portion of the proximal tube (11), the distal tube (12) and the fluid-permeable coil (13), and is secured in the distal tip (14), wherein the distal end of the proximal tube (11) and the proximal end of the distal tube (12) are connected by a butt joint and wherein the core wire (16) is glued or brazed to the inner wall of the proximal tube (11) at or close to the butt joint.

Method of manufacturing band-shaped metal wire member including bonded portion
The present invention seeks to enable a band-shaped metal wire member to be stably accommodated within a die. A die is prepared that includes a bottom die provided with a depression and a top die provided with a projection that can be arranged within the depression so as to close off a space above the depression. An inner surface of the depression includes a central die surface formed at a width-direction center of a base of the depression and a pair of curved guide die surfaces provided continuous with two sides of the central die surface and curved so as to project outward. The central die surface is formed as a flat surface or as a surface that curves more gently than the pair of curved guide die surfaces. A bonding process portion of a band-shaped metal wire member is folded in two and arranged within the depression.

WIRE WELDER AND METHOD FOR WIRE WELDING
A welder containing a weld part, a clamp and a number of tools that is for welding metal wires end-to-end to one another. The tools have a tool indicator that is either in complete or in non-complete condition, and can be processing tools used to finish the weld or testing tools allowing testing the weld once finished. Before starting the welding the first metal wire is held in the clamp. By that action all tool indicators are set to the non-complete condition. When a processing tool has been used, its processing tool indicator is set to complete. When the weld has passed the specification of a testing tool, the testing tool indicator is set to complete. When each processing and testing tool indicator is set to complete the clamp will open. In this case it is sure that the operator has done all necessary steps and checks on the weld.
