CHAIN REPLACEMENT APPARATUS
A chain replacement apparatus includes a body seat, an operation assembly, and a repair block. The operation assembly is rotatably disposed on the body seat. The repair block is disposed on the body seat and selectively switched among a removing status, a combining status, and a riveting status, so as to, through the operation assembly, break the chain, press the outer and inner chain plates, and rivet the chain. The repair block rotates about an action axis to be switched among different statuses, facilitating an efficient chain maintenance and replacement operation.
Machine component and method for producing the same
A sprocket wheel, which is a machine component configured to slide relative to a bushing while being in contact with the bushing in an outer peripheral surface, includes a base made of a first metal, and an overlay that covers the base so as to constitute the outer peripheral surface. The surface of the overlay constituting the outer peripheral surface has been smoothed. Such a smoothed surface of the overlay makes the sprocket wheel less damaging to the bushing.
Chain drive system having anti-rotation features between pivot pin and guide link and related assembly method
A chain drive system having chain links, guide links disposed on opposite lateral sides of the chain links, and pivot pins that extend through the chain links and are fixedly coupled to the guide links. Mating anti-rotation features are employed between each pivot pin and a corresponding one of the guide links to resist rotation between the pivot pin and the guide link.
CHAIN TOOL
A chain tool includes a body having a driving hole, a stop portion, and a receiving portion located between the driving hole and the stop portion in an axial direction. A pressing member is received in the receiving portion and is movable relative to the body in the axial direction. A push member is in threading connection with the first threaded portion and is movable relative to the body between a first position distant to the stop portion and a second position adjacent to the stop portion. The pressing member is pressed by the push member and moves in an arcuate path when the push member moves between the first and second positions.
METHODS OF ASSEMBLY FOR WEDGE CLUTCH WITH WEDGE CHAIN
A method of assembling a clutch includes assembling a wedge chain by connecting a plurality of wedges together with links such that the wedges are movable relative to each other, and wrapping the wedge chain around an inner race. The method further includes connecting an end one of the links to an end one of the wedges to secure the chain to the inner race. The may also include installing the inner race into an outer race such that the wedge chain is radially disposed between the inner and outer races.
STAINLESS STEEL ROLLER CHAIN WITH INCREASED DURABILITY
Disclosed is an improved stainless steel roller chain and methods for manufacturing the stainless steel roller chain, such that the improved stainless steel roller chain maintains the corrosion resistant properties of stainless steel while exhibiting the strength and durability of carbon steel.
Systems and methods for repairing chains
A method of repairing a chain can include aligning a bore of an outer chain link with a bore of an inner chain link, inserting a pin through the aligned bores, the pin having a thread end opposite a head end, engaging a multi-jackbolt tensioner with the thread end of the pin, the multi-jackbolt tensioner having a plurality of fasteners, advancing each of the plurality of fasteners to press on the outer chain link, and forming an interference fit between the pin and the outer chain link at the bore of the outer chain link from the advancing of the fasteners.
Chain and manufacturing method of a chain
A chain includes a plurality of inner links and a plurality of outer links. Each of the inner links includes a pair of inner plates each having a bush hole and a bush. The bush includes both end portions which are press-fitted into bush holes of the pair of the inner plates. Each of the outer links includes a pair of outer plates and a pin. A diametric dimension in a pitch direction of an inner diametric surface of the bush is constant along an entire axial length of the bush. A diametric dimension in a height direction of the inner diametric surface at each of the both end portions of the bush is smaller than a diametric dimension in the height direction of the inner diametric surface at an intermediate part of the bush located between the pair of inner plates.
CHAIN BELT AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
In a chain belt having: plurality of link plates each provided with a pin hole; plurality of connecting pins to connect a part of the plurality of link plates in an endless annular form by being inserted into the pin holes across the part of the plurality of link plates in a state where the part of the plurality of link plates are overlapped; and a retainer pin welded to an end portion of the connecting pin and engaged with the link plate to prevent the link plate from coming off the connecting pin, the retainer pin is disposed in a posture in which an outer circumferential surface is in contact with an outer circumferential surface of the connecting pin, and a plurality of points on the outer circumferential surface of the retainer pin separated from each other in the circumferential direction are welded to the connecting pin.
