In accordance with an exemplary embodiment, the slab having the length longer than that of the slab in accordance with the related art may stably descend, the shaking of the slab may be prevented, and the casting speed may be stabilized.

A processor can determine, using the measured at least one characteristic of the water from the plurality of sensors, a composite water quality value for the water in the water recycle system. A chemical additive can be controllably added into the water recycle system based on the determine composite water quality value.
