A bearing box for a rotating roller for supporting or transporting a high-temperature object. The bearing box includes a bearing and seal units disposed therein. A cooling jacket is disposed at an outer periphery of the bearing box so that the cooling jacket covers at least a portion of an axial region of the bearing and at least a portion of an axial region of the seal unit. The cooling jacket has a cooling water inlet and a cooling water outlet, and the bearing box is cooled by cooling water supplied to the cooling jacket through the cooling water inlet.

The present invention relates to a continuous caster roll for a continuous casting machine, having; a base portion and an overlay portion made of martensitic stainless steel. The steel of the overlay portion includes 12-14% by weight Cr (chromium), and the steel further includes 0.2-0.5% by weight Nb (niobium) which is a stronger carbide former than Cr, such that Cr will be kept in solid solution in the overlay portion. The balance being Fe (iron), other alloying elements and normally occurring impurities. In addition, a method to manufacture the continuous caster roll is disclosed, wherein the overlay portion is applied by any of weld cladding or laser cladding.

A seal cassette for a roll line in a continuous casting machine. The seal cassette configured to seal off a space from an outside environment and includes a first circumferential element and a second circumferential element arranged coaxially and rotatably movable relative each other. At least one third circumferential element is provided and is arranged coaxially relative the first and the second circumferential element and further arranged to be rotatably movable relative the second circumferential element. The first circumferential element is formed as a sleeve extending in an axial direction (A). The second circumferential element provides at least one circumferential seal portion arranged to seal between the second element and the first element. The at least one third circumferential element provides at least one circumferential seal portion to seal between the third element and the second element and further provides a circumferential seal portion that seals against the first element.

A six-high rolling (also known as sexto) mill stand that is suited for hot rolling an intermediate strip into a thin strip that is less than 0.8 mm thick. A combined casting and rolling installation that includes the six-high rolling mill stand allowing for hot rolling in long uninterrupted sequences, without any change of the work rolls to obtain a strip with good geometry due to moderate rolling forces.
