Orienting a user interface of a controller for operating a self-propelled device
A self-propelled device determines an orientation for its movement based on a pre-determined reference frame. A controller device is operable by a user to control the self-propelled device. The controller device includes a user interface for controlling at least a direction of movement of the self-propelled device. The self-propelled device is configured to signal the controller device information that indicates the orientation of the self-propelled device. The controller device is configured to orient the user interface, based on the information signaled from the self-propelled device, to reflect the orientation of the self-propelled device.
Host applications of modular assembly system
A method for providing host instructions to a control module of a modular assembly system is provided. A graphical programming environment including sets of first and second graphical representations is presented to a user. Each first graphical representation corresponds to a statement block comprising a parameter. Each second graphical representation corresponds to one of assembly modules associated with a property. A user is facilitated to select at least one of the first graphical representations and provide values to the parameter of each selected first graphical representation. The user is facilitated to provide values to the property of one or more of the second graphical representations. Based on at least the selected first and second graphical representations and the provided values thereof, a set of host instructions are generated. The set of host instructions are transmitted to the control module for controlling operation of the assembly modules.

The present disclosure provides a child-mother toy, including: a first assembly and a second assembly. The second assembly includes a supporting member, a triggering subassembly, a unfolding subassembly and an ejection subassembly, and the triggering subassembly, the unfolding subassembly and the ejection subassembly are disposed to the supporting member. Before the triggering subassembly is triggered, the unfolding subassembly is folded at the supporting member so as to define an accommodating cavity together with the supporting member, the accommodating cavity is configured to accommodate the first assembly therein; and after the triggering subassembly is triggered, the unfolding subassembly is unfolded to open the accommodating cavity, and meanwhile the ejection subassembly ejects the first assembly out of the accommodating cavity.
Multi-purposed self-propelled device
A self-propelled device can include at least a wireless interface, a housing, a propulsion mechanism, and a camera. Using the camera, the self-propelled device can generate a video feed and transmit the video feed to a controller device via the wireless interface. The self-propelled device can receive an input from the controller device indicating an object or location in the video feed. In response to the input, the self-propelled device can initiate an autonomous mode to autonomously operate the propulsion mechanism to propel the self-propelled device towards the object or location indicated in the video feed.

In a robot, after a first value indicating acceleration in the up-and-down axis direction output from an acceleration sensor exceeds a certain threshold value, when any of the first value indicating the acceleration in the up-and-down axis direction, a second value indicating the acceleration in the front-and-back axis direction, and a third value indicating the acceleration in the left-and-right axis direction is determined to exhibit variation exceeding a certain width for a fixed period, the robot determines that a housing of the robot is being held by a user.

A removable member is also included for placement on the base with a sensor on the base triggered by the removable member which affects the path of the base.
