Multi-platform gaming system using RFID-tagged toys
A multi-platform gaming system for amusing or entertaining one or more game participants playing a game on a gaming platform is described. The multi-platform gaming system can include collectible toys depicting or representing one or more game characters or objects relevant to a game adapted to be played on the gaming platform. The collectible toys can have associated therewith an RFID tag including a corresponding unique tag identification number. The RFID tag can include an antenna, integrated circuitry for wirelessly transmitting and receiving information to and from an associated RFID tag reader, and non-volatile programmable memory for storing game-relevant information describing skills, abilities or attributes associated with one of said game characters or objects.
System for Obtaining Authentic Reflection of a Real-Time Playing Scene of a Connected Toy Device and Method of Use
The invention is directed to a connected toy device comprising at least one sensing element configured to provide a complementary data to a limited visual recognition data obtained from a camera, so as to obtain an accurate reflection of a real-time playing scene of a player with said connected toy device and allow production of a suitable response to the player on a smart device connected to said toy according to processing of the combined data obtained from said camera and the at least one sensing element. The invention is further directed to a connected toy system for obtaining an accurate reflection of a real-time playing scene of a player with a connected toy device, the system comprising: at least one connected toy devise having at least one sensing element configured to provide a complementary data to a limited visual recognition data obtained from a camera; and a smart device having at least a camera, a processing device and a dedicated software library, said smart device is configured to capture images of said playing scene by said camera process the data and combine the image data with data received from said at least one sensing element, and produce a suitable response on the smart device according to the data obtained from the camera and the sensing element reflecting a real time occurrence at the playing scene.

An inflatable toy sword includes a handle having a proximal end and a distal end, a fan disposed in the handle for directing air toward the distal end of the handle, a power source disposed in the handle for providing power to operate the fan, and a switch coupled with the fan for selectively activating the fan. An inflatable blade has a proximal end with an opening. The proximal end of the inflatable blade is connected to the distal end of the handle. The toy sword may also generate light and sound.

A method of providing a telescopic assembly includes providing a power mechanism to rotate a threaded spindle which is coupled to telescopic segments. Rotating the threaded spindle causes the telescopic segments to extend out of a handle to an extended position. A safety feature is provided such that, if the telescopic segments in the extended position are pressed by a poking force against a person, the poking force causes the telescopic segments to retract in a direction towards the handle thereby preventing injury to the person, and the power mechanism and the threaded spindle are not compromised or destroyed by retraction of the telescopic segments due to the poking force.

Inflatable, expanding sword
The present disclosure provides an inflatable toy sword device with a blade configured to extend from and retract into the handle. A flexible blade material may be stored in a spooled configuration within the handle and inflated during extension. During retraction, the process is reversed and air is controllably released while the material is spooled. A method of extending and retracting the flexible blade material of an inflatable toy sword is also provided.
BEARING SUPPORT FOR TELESCOPING MECHANISM SPINDLE
A telescoping mechanism includes a handle including a motor and a controller operatively connected to the motor for controlling operation of the motor, a spindle operatively coupled to, and configured to be rotated by, the motor. The spindle is not journaled by the motor and instead is journaled by a bearing support distanced from the motor. Telescoping segments are coupled to the spindle. The telescoping segments are nested together in a contracted orientation and extend outwards upon rotation of the spindle.
