Device for Displaying in Response to a Sensed Motion
20230231415 · 2023-07-20 ·

A device includes a signaling means and a motion sensor, and logic for activating or controlling the signaling means in response to a sensed motion according to an embedded logic. The device may be used as a toy, and may be shaped like a play ball or as a handheld unit. It may be powered from a battery, either chargeable from an AC power source directly or contactless by using induction or by converting electrical energy from harvested kinetic energy. The embedded logic may activate or control the signaling means, predictably or randomly, in response to sensed acceleration magnitude or direction, such as sensing the crossing of a preset threshold or sensing the peak value. The visual means may be a numeric display for displaying a value associated with the count of the number of times the threshold has been exceeded or the peak magnitude of the acceleration sensed.

POST-PRODUCTION METHOD FOR PERSONALIZING FLYING DISC TOYS
20230220616 · 2023-07-13 ·

Flying disc toys are personalized with dye-sublimation printing using a heat press and dye-sublimation paper, onto which a design is printed. An assembled flying disc toy is disposed between a pad and a mask, in the heat press. The mask protects the ring of the flying disc toy from melting. The pad urges the fabric cover of the flying disc toy towards the paper and helps prevent crushing of the ring during pressing and the high-definition dye transfer sublimation printing.

METHOD AND GOALS FOR FLYING DISC GAME
20230211221 · 2023-07-06 ·

A catching game for two to six players. Each team stands behind their own goal—the two goals are 12 yards apart. Each team member takes turns trying to throw a flying disc (Frisbee) through the opposite goal (12 yards away). The person throwing must stand behind their own goal—either directly behind it or next to it, but no closer than 12 yards away. Their Opponents also stand behind their own goal and will try to catch the Frisbee if it comes through this goal. Once caught or dropped, this player then tries to throw it back towards the other team's goal where their opponent is also standing behind waiting to try to catch the Frisbee. Players take turns in catching and throwing and can only score points if the Frisbee goes through their opponent's goal and is not caught.

A play apparatus has a pair of devices. Each device has: a capture arrangement such as a cavity to capture an object such as a ball; an object detector to detect that the object has been captured; a transmission module to transmit a release signal; a receiver module to receive a release signal; and a release actuator to release the captured object. A first device detects capture of a first object, transmits a first release signal to cause a second device to release a second object. The first device withholds the first object until releasing it responsive to receipt of a second release signal indicating that another object has been captured by the second device.

Devices, systems and methods are described for launching a projectile. Preferred devices comprise two separate platforms that are connected by an elastic cable. Each of the platforms can be secured to one foot or shoe of a user by a strap or other fastener. Once secured, a force can be applied to a projectile that is connected to the elastic cable to thereby stretch the cable in a first direction. Once the force is removed, at least some of the elastic force of the cable can be transferred to the projectile causing the projectile to be propelled in a direction opposite to the first direction.

ADJUSTABLE BRIGHTNESS FLYING DISC
20230037021 · 2023-02-02 · ·

Disclosed herein is an adjustable brightness flying suitable for both recreational and professional uses. The flying disc may comprise a light strip that illuminates when in use. In some embodiments, one or more properties of the light strip can be dynamically adjusted based on the intended application, environmental lighting conditions, and/or the player's preferences. The flying disc may have high-impact resistance, sand resistance, and/or water resistance so that it can be used for different applications and in different environments such as rough terrain, dusty environments, and/or in water. The flying disc may automatically detect a motion state and turn the light strip on or off accordingly. The illumination allows players to use the flying disc for different applications and in different environments, such as in low-lighting conditions. In some embodiments, the brightness may be adjusted and on-time of the light strip may be manually set or adjusted by a player.
