FLYING DISC
20170312647 · 2017-11-02 ·

A flying disc device appears to “flutter” in flight when rotating. The design is interesting and visually appealing when in use, is easy to see in flight, and can be easily retrieved when laying flat on the ground or another flat surface owing to its angularly oriented dual-disc design.

A throwing and/or catching toy includes a generally elongated spheroidal body defining a longitudinal axis. A length of the body is longer than an equatorial diameter. A lift-generating wing is non-movably attached to the body near and/or at a center of the wing. At least one finger hold extension extends from a distal end of either a left or right wing portion. The finger hold extension is configured to allow a user to throw the toy in a discus-launched manner and the body is configured to be caught by the user. The lift-generating wing may be made as an injection molded, polymer wing. A manual adjuster may be associated with and controlling the shape of a horizontal stabilizer. A front end of the elongated body may be a resilient foam having a Shore A durometer hardness equal to or less than 25.

Amusement toy

A disk-like toy includes a resilient base, a flexible cover overlying the base, and a deflectable core disposed generally between the base and the cover. The base is affixed to at least one of the cover and the core.

A disk launcher system for effectively launching a disk. The disk launcher system generally includes a platform having an upper surface, a biasing member attached to the platform adapted to apply a biasing force to a disk positioned on the platform to launch the disk from the platform, a catch member movably positioned with respect to the platform adapted to selectively engage the disk, and a timing post extending upwardly from the upper surface of the platform that forces the disk to move to a side of the timing post after being released by the catch member resulting in rotation of the disk. A trigger may be connected to the catch member to allow for selective movement of the catch member by a user. A cover may also selectively cover a portion of the platform to help protect the user and guide the disk.

A throwing or catching toy includes a generally elongated spheroidal body defined as having a longitudinal axis, where a length of the body along the longitudinal axis between a front end to a back end of the body is longer than an equatorial diameter. A support is attached to the body and extends beyond the back end of the body and does not extend beyond the front end of the body. A lift-generating wing is non-movably attached to the support. A push surface is disposed near the back end of the body, where the push surface is generally perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. A horizontal stabilizer is attached to the support and disposed behind the lift-generating wing. An impact transfer surface is attached directly to the support, where the impact transfer surface is disposed within the body and fixed between the front end of the body and the support.
