Book with integral mechanical sound producing component
The present invention relates to children's books and, more particularly, to a book with a mechanical sound producing component that is integral to the book. The book includes at least one page having a page frame component and a movable page component that is movable with respect to the page frame component. A movable sound producing component is attached with one or both of the page frame component and the movable page component, such that the movable sound producing component is positioned between the page frame component and the movable page component. The movable sound producing component is movable with respect to the page frame component, such that movement of the movable sound producing component causes the movable sound producing component to movably engage with one or both of the page frame component and the movable page component to create a mechanically produced sound.
Board for use as a book page or puzzle with moving component that alters an illustration and exposes a sensor to activate a corresponding sound
Described is a board that is operable as a children's book or puzzle with parts that move, slide or turn on one lateral plane to physically change an illustration or part of the item and, as they slide or turn, activate a noise related to the illustration. The board includes a generally planar top illustrative layer. A bottom base layer is attached with the top illustrative layer. The bottom base layer includes a sensor (e.g., light or touch sensor) and sound generation components for generating a sound based upon actuation of the sensor. A moving component is movably connected with the bottom base layer. Finally, the sensor is connected with the bottom base layer and positioned such that moving the moving component from a first position to a second position exposes the sensor to cause the sound generation components to generate a sound.

Foam book
There is disclosed a book with a front cover formed by a front base layer and a front decorative layer. The front base layer has a first front face portion, a second front face portion, and a front free edge. The front decorative layer is disposed on the second front face portion. The book has a rear cover formed by a rear base layer and a rear free edge. A binding layer extends across the rear base layer and along the first face portion of the front base layer cover. The binding layer is adhered with the rear base layer and the first face portion so that the front decorative layer extends from the front free edge and across the second front face portion. An edge of the binding layer abuts an edge of the front decorative layer. This arrangement eliminates a free edge between along the front cover of the book. The book includes one or more pages disposed between the front and rear covers. The pages each include respective page base layers and each base layer including a page binding edge. The page binding edge is connected with the binding layer.

BOOK
A book (1) is described. The book has front and back covers (2, 3) and a plurality of pages (5) bound between the covers. The book includes capacitive touch elements (9) disposed on the inside (10, 14) of the back cover and/or the front cover. The book also includes at least one output device (7), such as a speaker, and a controller (18). The controller is configured to cause the or at least one of the output devices to output a signal in dependence upon position of a user's digit (31:

Toy with light emitting diode
A toy has one or more LED light sources positioned on the toy so the light source illuminates beyond the toy. A toy to be worn on the human finger comprises a body includes an anchoring portion for receiving or locating a finger or fingers. A finger puppet toy permits for at least one of a reading tool and a light source or an enhancement of other toys or writings. A LED or other light source is operated on the toy to interact with photo-luminescent ink and other inks. A photo-luminescent ink and other inks are pre-printed or included in a decoration on the surface of another item such as a book or other toy. The toy is a reading tool or a light source or an enhancement of other toys or writings. The LED light sources include a black light and may include other LED lights of other colors. The lights are connected to a circuit board and an integrated power source, which are connected to a switch encased on the toy. The mechanism, number and location of LED lights, the circuit board, wiring, power source and switch are further defined based on the shape of the character of the toy.
