Disclosed are various embodiments for a table miter saw. The table miter saw allows for cross cuts, bevel cuts, as well as miter cuts and is an improvement over common table saws. The table miter saw includes a platform, orbiting base, and a telescoping assembly that allows for pushing and pulling the saw blade apparatus for mitering safety and ease of use. Additional benefits include the ability to combine multiple carpentry and woodworking tools into one compact device that is easily transferrable to the jobsite.

A signal switch for a power tool has a paddle supported by a rocker that extends into a switch housing to pivot an actuating member. A circuit board is attached to a bottom of the switch. At least one micro-switch extends from the circuit board into the switch in position to be actuated by the actuating member depending on a position of the paddle. The circuit board includes a connector that is configured to connect to a cable, such as a ribbon cable. Circuit traces on the circuit board are electrically connected to the micro-switches and the electrical connector. The interior of the switch housing is sealed from the exterior environment so that the mechanical components of the switch are shielded from the environment.

A compound saw includes a base, a housing, a transmission component and a table, the rear end of the table is rotatably connected to the housing, and is engaged with the cutter head through the transmission component, so as to expose the cutter head out of the first cutting slit or out of the second cutting slit when the front end of the table swings upward and downward. The cutter head of the compound saw can be switched between the bench cutting mode and the miter cutting mode. Accordingly, on one hand, the structure for switching between modes is simple and does not require the cooperation of too many parts; on the other hand, the switchover can be realized simply by manually operating the movable bench, without too many operations.

A table saw includes a table that defines a saw blade slot and a first trunnion member defining a first axis point of a bevel pivot axis, wherein the first trunnion member supports a saw carriage. The table saw further includes a first mounting arrangement configured to fix the first trunnion member to the table in an engaged state of the first mounting arrangement, and a horizontal axis alignment arrangement configured, in a disengaged state of the first mounting arrangement, to inhibit lateral movement of the first trunnion member and to allow vertical movement of the first trunnion member.

A table saw includes a working surface and a rail system. The rail system includes stationary rails mounted along the working surface, and extension rails. The rails each include matching guide surfaces extending along the longitudinal axis and configured to support and guide a rip fence. The rails have a common connection interface that in each case includes a connecting end and a supporting end, such that the extension rails are mountable with the stationary rails. When mounted, the guide surfaces of the extension rails extend the guide surfaces of the stationary rails. The connecting end in the common connection interface includes a connection mechanism configured to urge the connecting end together with the supporting end to form an internal connection, and to align the guide surfaces of the connected rails to as to be co-planar with each other.

Elevation and blade tilt mechanisms for table saws are disclosed. The elevation and tilt mechanisms may include an indexable position adjustment system configured to adjust the position of the blade relative to the table in discrete increments. Such table saws may also include a trunnion assembly with an elevation carriage slideably mounted to front and rear brackets, the brackets being tiltable with the elevation carriage relative to the table, and the elevation carriage being adapted to maintain the tilt of each bracket relative to the other bracket in a fixed orientation.

A table saw includes a saw control unit and a wireless communication module dock defining a docking position. A wireless communication module is configured to be removably received in the docking position, the wireless communication module being operably connected to the saw control unit when received in the docking position. The wireless communication module includes an antenna and a wireless transceiver, the antenna and the wireless transceiver being configured to implement a first wireless communication protocol.

A table saw includes a working surface and a rail system. The rail system includes stationary rails mounted along the working surface, and extension rails. A table saw includes a saw control unit and a wireless communication module dock defining a docking position. A wireless communication module is configured to be removably received in the docking position, the wireless communication module being operably connected to the saw control unit when received in the docking position. The wireless communication module includes an antenna and a wireless transceiver, the antenna and the wireless transceiver being configured to implement a first wireless communication protocol.

A portable folding saw table includes a generally planar worksurface having a pair of folding legs that transition between an open orientation and a folded orientation. A generally rectangular indentation is located on the bottom end of the table and an elongated slit extends from the bottom end to the top end. A pair of brackets are arranged on each side of the indentation and engage a circular saw in an inverted position with the saw blade extending through the slit.
