Jigsaw
A power tool includes a housing and a handle coupled to the housing. The handle is configured to be gripped by an operator to manipulate the power tool. The power tool also includes a drive system supported in one of the housing or the handle. The drive system includes a frame, a motor at least partially supported by the frame, and a transmission driven by the motor. The transmission is at least partially supported by the frame. The frame is composed of a non-electrically conductive material.
JIGSAW
A jigsaw including a housing, a handle extending transverse from the housing in a direction of a handle axis, a battery selectively coupled to the handle, a foot plate coupled to the housing and configured to contact a workpiece, and a drive assembly powered by the battery. The drive assembly includes a motor, a fan, a transmission driven by the motor, and an output spindle driven by the transmission and coupled to a cutting blade. The jigsaw also includes a frame supported within the housing which supports the motor and the transmission. The frame includes a shroud surrounding at least a portion of the fan and an air chute in fluid communication with the shroud that together direct an airflow produced by the fan toward a cutting area adjacent the cutting blade. The jigsaw also includes a baffle that is selectively moveable into the air chute to redirect the airflow away from the cutting blade.
SAW BLADE
A saw blade includes a cutting portion having consecutive first, second, and third cutting teeth. Each cutting tooth includes a rake surface, a relief surface, and a tip. The first cutting tooth includes a protrusion extending from the relief surface of the first cutting tooth. The cutting portion includes a first gullet positioned between the first cutting tooth and the second cutting tooth and a second gullet sized differently than the first gullet positioned between the second cutting tooth and the third cutting tooth. The cutting portion includes a first pitch extending over the first gullet from the tip of the first cutting tooth to the tip of the second cutting tooth. The cutting portion includes a second pitch different than the first pitch extending over the second gullet from the tip of the second cutting tooth to the tip of the third cutting tooth.
RECIPROCATING SAW
A reciprocating saw includes a housing, a motor, and a drive mechanism. The drive mechanism includes a driven gear that is rotated by the motor. The driven gear is vertically-oriented within the housing. The drive mechanism also includes a drive arm coupled to the driven gear to translate rotary motion of the driven gear into reciprocating motion, and an output shaft coupled to the drive arm to reciprocate relative to the housing along a spindle axis through a cutting stroke and a return stroke. The drive mechanism further includes a counterweight coupled to the driven gear and rotating with the driven gear through a path and in a same direction. As the counterweight moves through a rearward half of the path, the counterweight generally moves in an upward direction, and as the counterweight moves through a forward half of the path, the counterweight generally moves in a downward direction.
Reciprocating tool
A reciprocating tool includes: a motor; a gear case; a converting mechanism; a plunger; a sealing member; and an auxiliary sealing member. The converting mechanism is accommodated in the gear case and configured to convert rotating motion of the motor into reciprocating movement in a predetermined direction. The plunger is provided with a mounting portion on which an end bit is mountable, and is reciprocally movably supported to the gear case. The plunger is driven by the converting mechanism to reciprocally move in the predetermined direction. The plunger is reciprocally movably inserted into the sealing member in the predetermined direction. The sealing member is supported by the gear case. The auxiliary sealing member is supported by the sealing member and sealing an outer peripheral surface of the plunger.
Modular Power Tool Apparatus
A modular power tool apparatus provides a plurality of tool heads that are interchangeable between a selected tool head and any other comparable tool head, providing a user or operator the means to rapidly reconfigure a power tool for multiple roles and functions. The power unit is provided with an output shaft, a receiving cavity, and at least one locking mechanism. The output shaft is configured to engage to an input socket of the selected tool head a surrounding shell wall is positioned into the receiving cavity. The at least one locking mechanism captures at least one shelf on the shell wall to releasably fix the selected tool head into an operable configuration with the power unit.
Saw tool
A saw tool is provided, including: a rotatable member, a first end portion of the rotatable member being configured to be connected with a power source, a second end portion of the rotatable member including an insertion hole; and a driven assembly, driven by the rotatable member to be reciprocatably movable relative to the rotatable member; wherein the driven assembly includes a first end portion and a second end portion opposite to the first end portion, the first end portion being configured to be connected with a driving tool, the second end portion being slidably received within the insertion hole.
