System for Analyzing Starts and Acceleration Phases in Squat-Style Track and Field Events
20220134184 · 2022-05-05 ·

A system for analyzing starts and acceleration phases in squat-style track and field events has: a launching stand, a plurality of wireless cameras, a technical analysis host, two foot tracking devices and a gyro group. The launching stand has at least one acceleration sensor and an adjusting support connected to two pedals. The technical analysis host is connected to the acceleration sensor and the wireless cameras, the acceleration sensor actives the wireless cameras to collect instantaneous speed data of a runner, and the technical analysis host generates a 100 m speed curve L1 of the runner, and the 100 m speed curve L1 includes a continuous reduced acceleration section L2. The two foot tracking devices are installed on two feet of each runner. The gyro group have a first gyro, a second gyro, a third gyro and a fourth gyro.

Dual-wedge swim platform with rotating handlebars

The present invention is a starter block for use in athletic events. The bottom-surface cleats which anchor the starting block to the ground are associated with blind bores extending through the lower surface. Each cleat has an associated blind bore. The positioning of the blind bores relative to the cleats allow the cleats of one starting block to be received by the blind bores of another starting block, and vice versa. This configuration allows the blocks to be stored easily and safely.

Portable race starting light assembly
11107348 · 2021-08-31 ·

A portable race starting light assembly for starting a race includes a stand is positionable at a starting line of a race track wherein the stand is configured to be visible to racers. A signal unit is coupled to the stand thereby facilitating the signal unit to be visible to the racers. The signal unit has a set of first indicators and a set of second indicators. Each of the first indicators and the second indicators is actuatable to display a visual countdown to the start of a race to communicate the start of the race to the racers. A remote control is provided and the remote control is in wireless communication with the signal unit. The remote control remotely turns on the signal unit to facilitate a race master to start the race for the racers.

In a competitive athletic event the disclosed signaling system provides for visually signaling of participants, for example, a lane specific visible indication to begin a race. A sequence of light colors is used to signal the start of a race, and is believed advantageous over an audible start signal, particularly for athletes who are hearing impaired.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FALSE START DETECTION
20210138333 · 2021-05-13 ·

A method, a false start detection system, and a false start detection sensor for determining whether an athlete has performed a false start in an event. Force data is received representing the force exerted by at least one upper appendage of the athlete on a surface when in a starting position (S701). The force data is processed to determine an athlete start time (S702), and the athlete start time is compared to an event start time to determine whether a false start has occurred (S703).
