Pet privacy barrier
The pet privacy barrier creates a protected space. The protected space formed by the pet privacy barrier provides a companion animal with a sense of security that allows the companion animal to generate the excretions and eliminations that form the befoulment of the companion animal. The pet privacy barrier comprises a barrier structure, a detachable canopy, and a base carpet. The barrier structure mounts on the base carpet. The detachable canopy removably attaches to the barrier structure. The barrier structure is a vertical structure that forms a portion of the boundary of the protected space. The detachable canopy is an elevated horizontal structure that forms a portion of the boundary of the protected space. The base carpet forms the pedestal of the pet privacy barrier. The base carpet simulates turf to provide a more natural environment for the activities of the companion animal.

System and method to carry out a floor related action
The invention relates to a system to carry out a floor related action. The system comprises an animal enclosure for detaining at least one animal and provided with an enclosure floor surface, a first autonomous vehicle configured to navigate over the floor surface to carry out the floor related action, and a feed providing device to provide feed to the animal. The system comprises a communication signal configured to transmit a communication signal representative for an actual or planned feeding action of the feed providing device to the first vehicle, which action influences the position of animals with the animal enclosure. In order to move the first vehicle more efficiently over the stable floor, in particular to avoid interference with animals on the stable floor, the first vehicle is capable to adapt its navigation based on the communication signal representative for the actual or planned feeding action.

Pressure activated recharging cooling platform
A pressure activated recharging cooling platform for cooling an object is provided. The cooling platform comprises a temperature regulation layer, a support layer, and a channeled covering layer. The temperature regulation layer is adapted to hold a composition. The temperature regulation layer has a plurality of angled segments, wherein angled segments within a sealed perimeter of the temperature regulation layer are formed by a top side and a bottom side at a predefined distance, and channels, wherein the channels substantially form sides by contacting the top side with the bottom side at a distance lesser than the predefined distance. The support layer is substantially bonded to the bottom side of the temperature regulation layer and is comprised of material sufficiently pliable to deform and sufficiently rigid to withstand collapse in response to the weight of the object. The channeled covering layer encompasses the support and temperature regulation layers.
Systems and methods for cooling an animal
Systems and methods that include a metallic panel having an upper surface for contacting an animal and a lower surface, at least one metallic cooling element thermally contacting the lower surface of the metallic panel and having an internal passage therein, and a coolant supply that flows a coolant through the internal passage of the cooling element. Flow of the coolant through the cooling element reduces the temperature of the upper surface of the metallic panel and thereby reduces the body temperature of the animal when the animal is in contact with the metallic panel.
Animal excreta disposal sheet
The present invention provides an animal excreta disposal sheet capable of ensuring sufficient bonding strength between a surface sheet and a back sheet and preventing urine excreted from an animal from leaking to the outer side in the planar direction. This animal excreta disposal sheet (1) comprises: a center part (A.sub.1) that is located at the center of the animal excreta disposal sheet (1) and that is defined as a part in which a surface sheet (2), an absorbent body (3) and a back sheet (4) overlap one another in the thickness direction; and an outer circumferential part (A.sub.2) extending from the outer edge of the center part (A.sub.1) toward the outer edge of the animal excreta disposal sheet (1). The animal excreta disposal sheet (1) further comprises in the outer circumferential part (A.sub.2): a joining part (5) which extends so as to surround the center part (A.sub.1) and in which the surface sheet (2) and the back sheet (4) are joined via an adhesive; and a water-stop part (6) which extends so as to overlap at least a part of the joining part (5) in the thickness direction and is exposed so as not to protrude from a first surface which is a surface to which excreta is delivered.
MONITORING AND INTERVENING ASSEMBLY FOR REARING PREMISES
A monitoring and intervening assembly for rearing premises includes: a movable monitoring unit equipped with a unit for monitoring the rearing premises and the animals resident therein, the geographic coordinates of the unit in the premises being determinable with respect to an origin, at least one movable intervening module able to be driven and controlled by the monitoring unit, the intervening module, at rest, being installed in a storage area, the monitoring unit and the intervening module both including interacting mechanical coupling for linking one to the other, the coupling being lockable and unlockable, the monitoring unit being able to continuously monitor the premises and the animals, without however being coupled to the or one of the intervening modules.

Process and apparatus for manufacturing water-absorbing material and use in cat litter
A process for manufacturing particles of water-absorbing material is provided. The process includes providing a powder bed composed of an absorptive powder comprising a water-absorbing polysaccharide onto a surface; releasing an aqueous solution from a solution dispenser so as to contact the powder bed, thereby forming a solution-impregnated humid material; letting the solution-impregnated humid material agglomerate in substantially shear-less conditions to form an agglomerated humid material, the solution-impregnated humid material being supported by the surface; and drying the agglomerated humid material, thereby forming the particles.
