ANIMAL COOLING MAT
The present animal cooling mat apparatus includes a mat shell, at least one coolant sheet, at least one cushioning pad, and at least one foam pad. The coolant sheet is removably located within the mat shell, with the cushioning pad removably located within the mat shell above the at least one coolant sheet and the insulating pad is located within the mat shell below the at least one coolant sheet. The coolant sheet provides a heat sink to rapidly cool an animal, while the cushioning pad facilitates heat transfer and the insulating pad reduces the amount of ambient heat transferred from the environment. Multiple apparatuses may be combined to accommodate larger animals.
Combination pet carrier and litter box kit
A multi-function carrier carries a pet and holds litter. The multi-function carrier includes a primary enclosure and a waste collection assembly. The primary enclosure carries the pet. The waste collection assembly is operatively connected to the primary enclosure and holds the litter.
Tray-Supported Floor Mats for Livestock Handling Equipment
A floor assembly for livestock handling equipment features a pair frame members lying in a longitudinal direction and spaced apart from one another in a lateral direction transverse to said longitudinal direction, and at least one support tray connected to the frame members and spanning therebetween in the lateral direction. At least one mat is supported atop the support tray(s). The mat is made of rubber or other resilient material for improved footing and comfort of the livestock. The topside of each mat is flush with a topside of the frame members to provide an even floor surface across the full area floor area. The mat(s) are removable for cleaning, and open gaps around the support tray(s) are provided for drainage. Non-welded attachment enables convenient removal and replacement of the support trays in the event of rust or other damage.
Poultry bedding
There is provided a composition suitable for use as poultry bedding based on wood shavings and sphagnum. The flow-flowing characteristic of the composition renders it very easy to apply and distribute on the floor of the stall. Moreover, the composition is easy to turn around and mix for the farmer. The composition exhibits effective absorption of ammonia for a complete production cycle for commercial poultry operations. A major effect of using the present composition is that foot burns and feet blisters of poultry observed with conventional bedding can essentially be avoided.
Methods and apparatus for a self contained expandable pet carrier
The present disclosure provides methods and apparatus to support transport of a pet in a self-contained expandable carrier. In some examples, the carrier may be worn by a user to support the pet in a proximate location. A pet carrier which may be worn may provide comfort to pet owners while they travel.
Fastener systems for securing agricultural mats
A fastener for securing livestock mats to a foundation having at least one recess includes a body formed from fiber-reinforced polymer material. The body has a shank with a first, terminal end and an oppositely disposed second end. The shank may be sized and shaped to be received into the recess in the foundation. A head at the second end of the shank includes an outer peripheral edge extending radially outwardly from the shank relative to a longitudinal axis of the shank. The shank further includes oppositely disposed first and second sides and a foundation engaging surface on at least a portion of at least one of the first or second sides. The foundation engaging surface is contoured to frictionally engage the foundation when the shank is received therein.
FLOOR CONSTRUCTION ELEMENT
Floor construction element for a horse stable with a cover surface element (6) and a support device for support against a floor (1), wherein the cover surface element (6) has a variety of passage openings (5, 50) and by the supporting device between the floor (1) and the cover surface element (6) at least one drainage cavity (4) is formed by way of which liquid excretions of the horse can be drained out, wherein the passage openings (5, 50) are arranged in an evenly distributed manner over the cover surface element, wherein bridges (110) run for supporting or stiffening between the passage openings (5, 50), and wherein the passage openings (50) are each defined by an arrangement of a number of screen openings (71) which are formed in the cover surface element (6), or a screen element (7) with a plurality of screen openings (70) is inserted in the passage openings, wherein the screen openings (70, 71) are permeable to the liquid excretions, but prevent the entry of relatively large, solid particles into at least one drainage cavity (4) and the clogging of the passage openings (5, 50), whereby the diameter or opening width (k) of the screen openings (70, 71) is much smaller than the diameter D or the opening width of the passage openings (5, 50) and the thickness (C) of the screen element (7) or the depth of the screen openings (70, 71) is much smaller than the diameter D or the opening width of the passage openings (5, 50).
