Arc welding method and arc welding device
A base material is welded by a first welding method in a case where a welding parameter related to heat input to the base material is less than a first threshold value. The base material is welded by a second welding method in a case where the welding parameter is less than a second threshold value and is more than the first threshold value. The base material is welded by a third welding method in a case where the welding parameter is more than the second threshold value. By adjusting welding conditions regardless of the thickness of the base material, a welding method suitable for the thickness of the base material is determined to provide a welding with little spatter and no meltdown of the base material.
Arc Welding System and Wire Feeding Device
An arc welding system of a consumable electrode type comprises: a wire feeding device that feeds welding wire from a wire feeding source to a welding torch; and a power supply device that supplies electric power between the welding wire fed to the welding torch and a base material, the system being configured to weld the base material by arc generated by the supplied electric power. The wire feeding device is provided with: an intermediate wire feeding source that is disposed between the wire feeding source and the welding torch and is configured to temporarily accommodate the welding wire fed from the wire feeding source and to feed the accommodated welding wire to the welding torch; a pull-out feeding part that feeds the welding wire at the wire feeding source to the intermediate wire feeding source; and a push-out feeding part that feeds the welding wire accommodated in the intermediate wire feeding source to the welding torch.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO PROVIDE WELDING-TYPE ARC STARTING AND STABILIZATION WITH REDUCED OPEN CIRCUIT VOLTAGE
Systems and methods to provide welding-type arc starting and stabilization with reduced open circuit voltage are disclosed. An example welding-type power supply includes: power conversion circuitry configured to convert input power to welding-type power; and control circuitry configured to: control the power conversion circuitry to output a voltage pulse at a first voltage; determine whether the power conversion circuitry outputs current during the voltage pulse; in response to determining that there is less than a threshold output current during the voltage pulse, control the power conversion circuitry to turn off an output or output a second voltage that is less than the first voltage; and in response to determining that the power conversion circuitry outputs at least the threshold output current during the voltage pulse, control the power conversion circuitry to output the welding-type power.
ARC SENSOR ADJUSTMENT DEVICE AND ARC SENSOR ADJUSTMENT METHOD
An arc sensor adjustment device and adjustment method for carrying out highly-accurate copying control. A welding system includes a welding torch, a welding power source that supplies power to the welding torch, a robot and a robot controller that cause the welding torch to oscillate, and an arc sensor that obtains a welding current or a welding voltage generated during welding while oscillating the welding torch. The arc sensor obtains a welding current or a welding voltage generated during calibration, in which welding is carried out while oscillating the welding torch in an up-down direction, calculates, on the basis of the obtained welding current or welding voltage, a correction amount for the position of the welding torch during welding carried out while oscillating the welding torch in a left-right direction, and applies the calculated correction amount to copying control.
AUTOMATIC STABILITY CONTROL OF POWER LEVEL FOR A HOT WIRE LASER PROCESS
A method of mitigating arcing events in a hot wire process is provided. The method includes monitoring an arcing frequency of a hot wire process and monitoring at least one of an energy, a power, a deposition amount, or a deposition rate of the hot wire process. The method further includes adjusting at least one of a hot wire current, a hot wire voltage, a hot wire waveform characteristic, a wire feed speed, a wire approach angle, or a contact tip-to-work distance of the hot wire process to balance the arcing frequency against at least one of the energy, the power, the deposition amount, or the deposition rate of the hot wire process, where it is desirable for the arcing frequency to be low, and where it is desirable for the energy, the power, the deposition amount, or the deposition rate to be high.
System and Method for Short Arc Welding
A method and apparatus for short circuit welding is disclosed. They reduce the current prior to the short clearing by adjusting waveform parameters in response to past cycles. One or more parameter of the output is monitored and compared to one or more targets, and future waveform parameters are adjusted so that the monitored parameters are more likely to reach the one or more targets.
WELDING POWER SUPPLIES HAVING ADJUSTABLE CURRENT RAMPING RATES
Welding power supplies having adjustable current ramping rates are disclosed. An example welding power supply, comprising: a switched mode power supply to convert primary power to welding-type power having an output current based on a current control loop; a voltage sensing circuit to measure a weld voltage; a voltage comparator to determine whether the weld voltage corresponds to a welding arc condition or a short circuit condition; and a control circuit to: select a current ramping rate; and execute the current control loop to control the output current, the control circuit configured to, while the weld voltage corresponds to the short circuit condition, increase the output current at the current ramping rate.
Arc welding control method and arc welding device
An arc welding control method is for performing control in an arc period. The control includes: (i) increasing a welding current to a first current value at a first gradient and maintaining the welding current at the first current value for a first period; (ii) reducing the welding current from the first current value to a second current value at a second gradient and maintaining the welding current at the second current value for a second period; (iii) increasing the welding current from the second current value to a third current value at a third gradient; and (iv) starting to reduce the welding current from the third current value within a third period, which is shorter than the first period, after the welding current reaches the third current value.
ARC-WELDING METHOD AND ARC-WELDING APPARATUS
An arc-welding method in welding by repeating a short circuit and an arc. When the sign of opening of the short circuit is detected, the welding current is reduced from a first current value at the detection of the sign to a second current value, which is lower than the first current value. When the opening of the short circuit is detected, a pulse current having a peak value higher than the first current value is supplied at a plurality of times in the arc period. This suppresses porosities and spatters when galvanized steel sheets are welded.
