Ergonomic welding arm with a plurality of arm links and joints
An ergonomic welding arm (1) includes a plurality of arm links (14, 20, 24) coupled by a plurality of joints (12, 18, 22). Each of the plurality of joints (12, 18, 22) is configured to allow the plurality of arm links (14, 20, 24) to be rotated about an axis with respect to a directly adjacent arm link (14, 20, 24). A first end of the welding arm (1) is configured to engage a support (4) for supporting the welding arm (1). A second end of the welding arm (1) is configured to engage a welding torch (10).
Self-adjusting wire feeder mounting assembly
A self-adjusting wire feeder mounting assembly includes a mount fixedly connectable to a multi-axis robotic arm, and a slidable, floating adapter plate for mounting of a wire feeder thereon. The adapter plate is coupled with and slidable about the mount, and the adapter plate is moveable relative to the mount when a force is applied to the wire feeder.
Stick welding electrode holder systems and methods
A method for providing a welding score, comprising determining an initial position of a welding operation, determining a terminal position of the welding operation, determining a welding path between the initial position and the terminal position, and determining the welding score based on the welding path, wherein the welding score takes into account one or both of a time used for welding and a length of the welding path. A system comprising a welding torch, and a computer configured to: determine an initial position of a welding operation, determine a terminal position of the welding operation, determine a welding path between the initial position and the terminal position, determine a welding score, wherein the welding score takes into account a time used for welding and/or a length of the welding path, and comparing the welding score to a score threshold.
Increased durability welding torch assembly and components
A welding gun assembly having a connection between a diffuser and the inner gun tube which provides increased strength between the diffuser and the gun tube to prevent inadvertent damage to the welding torch and upstream components. The diffuser comprises an engagement portion which engages with, and overlaps, at least a part of a sturdier portion of the inner gun tube. This engagement provides a stronger and more stable connection between the gun tube and the diffuser.

WELDING CABLE ASSEMBLIES, WELDING TORCH ASSEMBLIES, AND ROBOTIC WELDING SYSTEMS
Welding cable assemblies, welding torch assemblies, and robotic welding systems are disclosed. An example welding-type cable assembly includes: a cable configured to deliver welding-type current and an electrode wire to a welding-type torch, the cable configured to be coupled to the welding-type torch on a first end and coupled to at least one of a wire feeder or a welding-type power supply on a second end; and a spring mechanically coupled to the cable, the spring having a higher resistance to torque than the cable, and the spring configured to transfer a portion of twisting induced at a first end of the cable past a bend portion of the cable.
WIRE ARC HYBRID MANUFACTURING
A processing head assembly is disclosed. In some examples, the processing head assembly comprises a fabrication energy source; a wire feedstock surrounded by a shield and one or more filler feedstocks surrounded by one or more nozzles. In some examples, the fabrication energy source includes the wire feedstock surrounded by the shield. A method of depositing material on a substrate using a processing head assembly for use with a fabrication energy source; a wire feedstock surrounded by a shield and one or more filler feedstocks surrounded by one or more nozzles is disclosed. In some examples, the method comprises projecting a fabrication energy beam from the fabrication energy source onto the substrate at a spot, projecting the wire feedstock surrounded by the shield onto the substrate at the spot and projecting the one or more filler feedstocks surrounded by the one or more nozzles onto the substrate close to the spot.
System and method for welding torch display
A method including determining an orientation of a display of a welding torch relative to a joint of a workpiece, displaying, on the display of the welding torch during a welding operation, a graphical representation of a welding parameter in relation to a predetermined threshold range for the welding parameter as a position of the welding torch changes, the orientation of the welding torch changes, a movement of the welding torch changes, or some combination thereof, and rotating the graphical representation of the welding parameter based at least in part on the determined orientation of the display of the welding torch relative to the joint. The graphical representation of the welding parameter is associated with the position of the welding torch relative to the joint, the orientation of the welding torch relative to the joint, the movement of the welding torch relative to the joint, or some combination thereof.
Hot-wire welding assembly for deep and narrow recessed gaps
A contact tip for hot-wire welder is provided that are adapted to operate in deep and narrow recessed gaps within a work piece. Contact tips in accordance with the current invention provide for an assembly having a body portion with a cavity and an extension portion which is inserted into the cavity. The extension portion is non-electrically conductive and allows the contact tip assembly to reach into deep, narrow grooves without worry of shorting the contact tip of the consumable.
