AUGMENTED AND MEDIATED REALITY WELDING HELMET SYSTEMS
A welding helmet system is provided. The welding helmet system includes a protective shell and a welding display system. The welding display system is configured to be removably coupled to the protective shell. The welding display system is configured to receive data from a sensor, and to display a welding metric derived from the sensor via the image generation system.
AUGMENTED VISION SYSTEM WITH ACTIVE WELDER GUIDANCE
Welding headwear comprises a display operable to present images for viewing by a wearer of the welding headwear, and comprises circuitry operable to determine an identifier associated with a workpiece, retrieve, from memory, welding work instructions associated with the identifier, and generate the images for presentation on the display based on said work instructions.
WELDING HELMET WITH HEADS UP DISPLAY AND VOICE COMMAND
A welding system and welding helmet is provided, where the welding helmet is capable of providing an image representative of information from an associated welding operation where the image appears as a head-up display (HUD) in the welding helmet. The helmet displays the information at a focal point which coincides with a working distance of a welding operation so that a user need not change his/her focus during a welding operation. The helmet also comprises a microphone to allow for audio instruction to be provided to a welding power supply to change settings.
Eye protection structure
An embodiment of the present disclosure discloses an eye protection structure for protecting a worker, the eye protection structure including a window convex outward to cover both eyes of the worker, wherein the window includes a transmissive portion, the transmissive portion includes an inner surface facing the worker's face and an outer surface opposite to the inner surface, a first radius of curvature of the outer surface of the transmissive portion and a second radius of curvature of the inner surface of the transmissive portion are different from each other, and a thickness of a central portion of the transmissive portion is greater than a thickness of an edge portion of the transmissive portion.
Status alarm mask for welding and method of operating status alarm mask
A status alarm mask may include a main body to cover a face and eyes of a user. The mask may include a filter unit placed at a front surface portion of the main body to protect the eyes. The mask may include a communication module configured to establish a communication session with a welding torch held by the user and receive at least one inclination value of the welding torch being operated by the user, through the communication session. The mask may include a controller configured to determine whether a work of the torch is in progress, on the basis of an operation of the filter unit and to generate notification output data when the work of the torch is in progress. The mask may include an output unit placed at a location not overlapping with the filter unit and configured to receive and output the notification output data.
Welding information providing apparatus with function of sensing environment
Provided is a welding information providing apparatus capable of providing a high-definition image allowing easy identification of welding surroundings in addition to a portion adjacent to welding light by synthesizing photographs taken through various imaging conditions; improving welding quality by providing efficient guiding to the worker regarding a current welding status; checking what is happening in the surroundings even during a welding operation; and easily performing welding even in an environment where it is difficult to perform welding.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF REVIEWING WELD DATA
A method includes receiving welding data corresponding to a welding session completed with a welding system, receiving a selected location from an operator, and displaying on a display one or more quality characteristics of the welding session corresponding to the selected location. The welding data includes welding parameters and quality characteristics corresponding to a plurality of points along a path of the welding session. The welding parameters include a work angle of a welding torch, a travel angle of the welding torch, a contact tip to work distance, a travel speed of the welding torch along the path of the welding session, an aim of the welding torch, or any combination thereof. The quality characteristics include porosity, undercut, spatter, underfill, overfill, or any combination thereof. The selected location corresponds to a point of the plurality of points along the path of the welding session.
PORTABLE USER INTERFACE FOR A WELDING TYPE SYSTEM
A portable user interface for a welding-type system which can identify welding-type devices, interactively provide information related to identified welding-type devices, and communicate with identified welding-type devices. Provided information may include device information, configuration instructions, training instructions, service information, or maintenance information.
Digital display welding mask with HDR imaging
A display system for a welding helmet that includes a darkening filter layer, a high-dynamic range (HDR) camera system to capture an HDR light field, and an optical image stabilization subsystem. Captured images are displayed on an HDR electronic display within the welding helmet without risk of overexposure of ultraviolet radiation to the operator. In some examples, dual electronic displays are used to display different HDR images to each eye of the operator.
Method of visually outputting to a worker during an operation a number of parameters pertaining to the operation, and associated apparatus
A method includes detecting currently existing dose rates while a worker is performing an operation within a Radiologically Controlled Area (RCA) and visually outputting to the worker a dosage rate map of ionizing radiation within the RCA. The visual output can be visually depicted on a display that is worn by the worker during the operation and that is situated in proximity to the worker's eye. Another method of visually outputting to a worker a number of visual indicia that are representative of a number of parameters of an operation performed inside or outside the RCA includes periodically receiving a number of inputs from a number of detectors, employing the inputs to determine values for the parameters, and depicting the number of visible indicia on an electronic visual display that is situated on the worker and that is disposed proximate an eye of the worker.
