Discharge Welding System
A discharge welding system for discharge welding a welding member such as a stud to a weld surface such as a battery terminal or strap. The discharge welding system generally includes a power source which is electrically connected to both a clamp and a retainer such as a collet. The clamp is utilized to secure a conduction member such as a washer against a weld surface such as a battery terminal or strap. The retainer is utilized to removably retain a welding member such as a stud which is adapted to be welded to the weld surface. A weld actuator is adapted to lower the retainer such that the welding member contacts the conduction member to complete an electrical circuit as an electrical current is discharged by the power source. The welding member is welded to the weld surface by the electrical current discharge.
Removable welding tip assembly
A dummy weld apparatus including a dummy weld gun which allows a direct weld robot with a conventional weld gun to clamp down on the dummy weld gun to apply force and weld current for performing welding of workpieces of a first composition (e.g., aluminum). This arrangement allows the current provided by the conventional weld gun to flow through the dummy weld gun for welding the workpieces using weld tips dedicated to welding parts of the first composition, but also allows the dummy weld gun to be removed from the conventional weld gun to allow the conventional weld gun to performing welding operations on workpieces of a second composition (e.g., steel) using the original welding tips of the weld gun, avoiding material contamination of the tips.
Spot welding apparatus
A spot welding apparatus according to is provided that includes an upper and lower moving unit, an upper welding gun, a left and right moving unit and a lower welding gun. In particular, the upper and lower moving unit includes a slide block that is provided at one side of an arm of a robot to move vertically by actuation of an actuator. The upper welding gun is mounted on the slide block and the left and right moving unit is installed at one side of the upper welding gun to horizontally move the upper welding gun by actuation of the actuator. Additionally, the lower welding gun is mounted to correspond to a lower side of the upper welding gun.
Resistance welding device having a stationary electrode and a movable electrode between a working position and two distinct resting positions
A resistance welding device. The device includes: a clamp intended to support an arm including a first part supporting a stationary electrode and a second part supporting a translationally movable electrode, the electrodes being intended to be passed through by an electrical current and to clamp metal elements in order to weld them The movable electrode is configured to move between a working position, wherein the electrodes clamp the metal elements to be welded, and two opening positions making it possible to insert, between the electrodes disposed opposite one another, the metal elements to be welded.
