Electric Connector Engaging a Welder to a Spot Welding Tool
A electrical connector for removably engaging a welder to a spot welding tool having a first arm in a pivoting engagement to a second arm. The connector features an electrically conductive member engaged to or forming a powered translating shaft of a welder which is surrounded by a housing. The connector engages within a passage formed in a coupling to communicate forward and rearward movement and electric current to a first arm of a spot welding tool.
Welding gun and welding method
A welding gun and a welding method with which it is possible to reduce, the wait time for loading a component and to decrease tact time. The welding gun is a welding gun for resistance-welding components to a workpiece successively, and comprises a first holding portion and a second holding portion for holding a component. The first holding portion and the second holding portion are each switchable to an abutment-enabling position for causing a component to abut against a workpiece, or to a loading-enabling position for loading the component. The first holding portion and the second holding portion are switchable such that when the first holding portion is in the abutment-enabling position, the second holding portion is in the loading-enabling position, and when the second holding portion is in the abutment-enabling position, the first holding portion is in the loading-enabling position.
RESISTANCE WELDING BY MEANS OF ROBOTS
A method for electric welding a workpiece arrangement having at least one workpiece with the aid of a robot arrangement including at least one robot. A rotational movement is carried out between the workpiece arrangement to be welded and at least one welding electrode which contacts the workpiece arrangement. The rotational movement is started as a function of a commanded and/or detected welding start and/or ended as a function of a commanded and/or detected welding end. The direction of rotation of the movement may be changed as a function of a predefined parameter during contact between the welding electrode and the workpiece arrangement.
Weld gun cap dresser cutter
A tip dresser cutter including a circumferential portion having a circular shape rotatable about an axis of rotation, a center portion located radially inward from the circumferential portion proximate the axis of rotation, and a cutting flute extending radially between the center portion and the circumferential portion. The cutting flute including a leading edge, a trailing edge, a radially inward canted surface extending between the leading edge and the trailing edge. The radially inward canted surface includes a first section extending between the center portion and a first location on the cutting flute and a second section extending between the first location on the cutting flute and a second location on the cutting flute. The second section of the radially inward canted surface including a curved portion that is parallel to a plane of rotation of the cutting flute.
Collet assembly for fastener feeding apparatus
A collet assembly including an actuator and a collet connected to the actuator. The collet assembly is adapted to be installed on a welding electrode holder having an electrode. The collet is moveable by the actuator from an advanced position, in which the collet is adapted to grip a fastener such as a welding rivet, and a retracted position, in which at least a portion of the collet is retracted into the actuator to enable the electrode to engage the fastener for welding to a work piece, and the collet is adapted to release the fastener.
Method for resistance welding
A welding device of a robot arm includes a welding machine having a first pressing member which includes a cylindrical first pressing part and a second pressing member which includes a second pressing part inserted into a hollow of the first pressing part. A transformer supplies a positive (+) current to the first pressing member and a negative (−) current to the second pressing member. The first and second pressing parts have the same co-axis.
Joining apparatus for panel sheets and joining method for panel sheets using the same
A joining apparatus for panel sheets and a joining method for panel sheets using the same are provided. The joining apparatus includes an element punching device which stores and supplies elements according to a specification of a panel sheet and inserts the element into a first panel sheet among different types of panel sheets. Additionally, a welding device resistively welds a part of the first panel sheet into which the element is inserted by the element punching device.
POWER SOURCE MODULE FOR JOINT PROCESSES
A current source module for joining methods with current-generated heat support that includes a base body formed monolithically as a single component, having a first immovable attachment element for connecting a first joining tool and at least one formed first receiving space. In the first receiving space, a control element is disposed including a linearly movable second attachment element for connecting to a second joining tool, and in the first or additional receiving space a transformer unit for electrical supply is disposed. Furthermore, a welding gun is provided that includes such current source module, and a first joining tool formed as an immovable electrode arm, and a second joining tool formed as a movable electrode arm, wherein the immovable arm is connected to the first attachment element and the movable arm is connected to the second linearly movable attachment element, wherein the electrode arms include electrodes connected to the transformer.
