Component produced by brazing and method of producing same
A method for producing a component by brazing and a related component are disclosed. The component may include a first part, a second part and a third part, wherein the first part includes a first junction part, the second part includes a second junction part and a cross junction part, and the third part includes a third junction part, and wherein the third junction part has a part and a remaining part. In an embodiment the method includes coupling the first part and the second part to each other by performing a preceding weld in a state of overlapping a part of the first junction part and the second junction part and, after performing the preceding weld, coupling the first part, the second part, and the third part to each other by performing a following weld.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR WELDING FOILS
A method and associated device for joining a battery cell tab to a plurality of foils associated with a plurality of electrodes of a battery cell are described. This includes arranging the plurality of foils in a stack, and joining, via a first joining device, the plurality of foils, wherein the first joining device defines a joining region. A portion of the battery cell tab is arranged on the plurality of foils, and joined, via a second joining device, to the plurality of foils. The second joining device generates a weld joint that is encompassed within the joining region defined by the first joining device. In doing so, weld quality and strength of internal welds in a battery cell may be improved by reducing the occurrence of porosities and cracks in the foil/tab weld joints.
Secondary battery
The present invention relates to a secondary battery capable of improving the coupling force between a safety vent and a cap-up. For example, disclosed is a secondary battery comprising: an electrode assembly; a case for accommodating the electrode assembly; a cap assembly coupled to the upper part of the case; and a gasket interposed between the cap assembly and the case, wherein the cap assembly includes a cap-up and a safety vent, which is provided at the lower part of the cap-up and has a vent extension part extending to the upper part of the cap-up so as to encompass the edge of the cap-up, a welding region, in which the safety vent and the cap-up are welded and coupled by laser welding, is formed in the vent extension part, and the welding region is formed in a line shape.

CLAD PARTS
To eliminate galvanic corrosion, a housing includes a clad material. The clad material includes an interior metal disposed within an exterior metal. The exterior metal is different from the interior metal. The housing further includes a clad interface and a melt interface. The melt interface includes a layer of hardened flux disposed on a portion of the interior metal.
Method for Manufacturing a Sandwich Panel
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a sandwich panel as a semi-finished product where at least one layer of a non-metallic material is positioned between at least two metallic layers. At least one of the metal layers is shaped into a three dimensional layer, and the metal layers are in direct mechanical contact to enable resistance weldability of the semi-finished product in order to connect the semi-finished product to a desired combination of solutions in a subsequent manufacturing process.

Visible Laser Welding of Electronic Packaging, Automotive Electrics, Battery and Other Components
A visible light laser system and operation for welding materials together. A blue laser system and operation for welding conductive elements, and in particular thin conductive elements, together for use in energy storage devices, such as battery packs.
Turbocharger shaft and wheel assembly
A method can include co-axially locating a turbine wheel and a shaft where a force applicator applies an axially directed force to the turbine wheel, where the turbine wheel transfers at least a portion of the force to shaft and where a rotatable shaft collet supports the shaft; rotating the rotatable shaft collet; energizing at least one laser beam; and, via the at least one laser beam, forming a weld between the turbine wheel and the shaft.
