Animal restraint systems and methods
10834901 · 2020-11-17 ·

A restraint system for an animal, comprising a stake member, a link member, and a restraint member. A first end of the restraint member is operatively connected to the link member. A second end of the restraint member is configured to be operatively connected to the animal. The stake member is arranged such that a neck portion is within the link passageway, a base portion is on a first side of the link member, and a grip portion is on a second side of the link member. The restraint system is used in a leash mode by gripping the grip portion of the stake member with the second end of the restraint member connected to the animal and in a tether mode with the base portion in secured relative to an object and the second end of the restraint member connected to the animal.

Ground Anchor with Detachable Retractable Leash
20200337271 · 2020-10-29 ·

A portable pet tether apparatus readily attaches onto a retractable pet leash. The portable pet tether allows a user to tether a pet anywhere. The portable pet tether consists of a corkscrew ground anchor that is rotatably connected to a leash receiver. The ground anchor is secured to the ground. The retractable pet leash can then be removably connected to the leash receiver through an attachment mechanism. The removably connected retractable pet leash may be detached from the leash receiver through the actuation of a release button.

Handle assembly for leash system
10785958 · 2020-09-29 · ·

A handle assembly for a leash system includes an outer housing that defines a handle interior and an inner housing that is positioned within the handle interior. The leash system includes a tether. The outer housing can be substantially spherical. The inner housing selectively moves between unlocked and locked positions. When in the locked position, the inner housing inhibits movement of the tether relative to the handle assembly in a first direction but not in a second direction that is substantially opposite the first direction. The inner housing can be biased towards one of the unlocked and the locked position. The inner housing includes a tether engager that selectively engages the tether. The handle assembly includes an inner housing mover that is connected to the inner housing so that the inner housing mover moves the inner housing between the unlocked and the locked position.

Retractable Leash Device
20240008454 · 2024-01-11 ·

The present invention relates to a retractable leash device used for pet training or pet leisure. The device is primarily comprised of a base having at least one handle and at least one spool with at least one leash. The handle of the base can be anchored to the ground during use via a ground stake stored within the handle. The spool can be unwound to allow the leash to achieve any length. The spool can also be spun via a plurality of means such as, but not limited to, a crank handle, a spring, and a motor to forcibly re-wind the leash around the spool.

Driveable stake member
10774560 · 2020-09-15 ·

A drivable stake for attachment to an article that includes an elongated stake having a first end section that terminates at a first end and a second end section that terminates at an opposing second end. The elongated stake has impact drive shoulders and a stake plate is coupled to the elongated stake and in contact with the impact drive shoulders. A coupling member surrounding the elongated stake and includes an opening for attachment to the article. A hollow impact drive member slidingly travels along the second end section of the elongated stake for striking the stake plate and driving the first end section into the ground. The stake includes a fastener for coupling the impact drive member to the elongated stake during a driving action and for locking the impact drive member in place relative to the elongated stake in a locked position.

Auger support stand
10724672 · 2020-07-28 · ·

A rotary auger support stand for holding objects such as decoys above the ground. The auger support stand includes at least one rod of longitudinal support member or shaft. The rotary auger anchor comprises a helical coil for screwing that end of the stake into the ground. handle means such as an S-shaped handle provides a crank handle for rotatably screwing the anchor into the ground or at least two opposing legs extend perpendicular from and between the shaft and auger forming a base. The distal end of opposing legs are bent upward perpendicular from the ground or bent upward and inwardly at an acute angle toward the shaft forming handles for rotating the auger into the ground. The transverse legs extending from the elongated support pole provides a base bearing against the ground for increased lateral support. The top distal end of the shaft includes means for supporting an object.
