SUPPRESSORS AND THEIR METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
A suppressor having a body and a first connector half coupled to the body, wherein the first connector half includes a first component that includes at least one channel and a first surface; and wherein the body provides a second surface, wherein a gap between the first surface and the second surface defines at least one track; wherein the gun includes a second connector half comprising at least one protrusion, wherein the protrusion and channel have corresponding shapes that allow the protrusion to be inserted through the channel and into alignment with the track, wherein the first component may be rotated with respect to the protrusion and the body to bring the protrusion out of alignment with the channel so that the first and second surfaces clamp the protrusion to thereby secure the first connector half and second connector half with respect to each other.
COMPOSITE CLADDINGS AND APPLICATIONS THEREOF
In one aspect, articles are described herein comprising composite claddings which, in some embodiments, demonstrate desirable properties including thermal conductivity, transverse rupture strength, fracture toughness, wear resistance and/or erosion resistance. Briefly, an article described herein comprises a metallic substrate, and a cladding adhered to the metallic substrate, the cladding comprising at least 10 weight percent of sintered cemented carbide pellets dispersed in matrix metal or matrix alloy, the sintered cemented carbide pellets having a spherical shape, spheroidal shape, or a mixture of spherical and spheroidal shapes.
Bonding wire for semiconductor device
The present invention provides a bonding wire capable of simultaneously satisfying ball bonding reliability and wedge bondability required of bonding wires for memories, the bonding wire including a core material containing one or more of Ga, In, and Sn for a total of 0.1 to 3.0 at % with a balance being made up of Ag and incidental impurities; and a coating layer formed over a surface of the core material, containing one or more of Pd and Pt, or Ag and one or more of Pd and Pt, with a balance being made up of incidental impurities, wherein the coating layer is 0.005 to 0.070 m in thickness.
Toughened and corrosion- and wear-resistant composite structures and fabrication methods thereof
Composite structures having a reinforced material intermingled with a substrate wherein the reinforced material includes titanium monoboride, titanium diboride, or a combination thereof.
Method for obtaining a welding electrode
An electrode in which the metallurgical structure of the active surface includes incoherent chromium precipitates, more than 90% of which have a surface of projection of less than 1 m.sup.2, the incoherent chromium precipitates having a size at least between 10 and 50 nm. The electrode further has a fibrous structure that is visible in a cross-section of the active surface of the electrode following surfacing and chemical etching. The fibrous structure includes a plurality of radial fibers having a thickness of less than 1 mm and of a substantially central fiberless region that has a diameter of less than 3 mm. The electrical conductivity of the electrode is greater than 85% IUPAC. The method for obtaining the electrode in a continuous casting process as well as to a use of the electrode in a resistive spot welding process.
Machine component and method for producing the same
A sprocket wheel, which is an example of the machine component, includes a base made of a first metal, and an overlay disposed in contact with the base to cover at least a part of a surface of the base. The overlay includes a matrix made of a second metal, and hard particles dispersed in the matrix. The overlay includes a protrusion that protrudes toward the base in a region including the interface between the overlay and the base.
FABRICATION OF HIGH-ENTROPY ALLOY WIRE AND MULTI-PRINCIPAL ELEMENT ALLOY WIRE
In various embodiments, metallic wires are fabricated by combining one or more powders of substantially spherical metal particles with one or more powders of non-spherical particles within one or more optional metallic tubes. The metal elements within the powders (and the one or more tubes, if present) collectively define a high entropy alloy of five or more metallic elements or a multi-principal element alloy of four or more metallic elements.

METALLURGICAL COMPOSITIONS WITH THERMALLY STABLE MICROSTRUCTURES FOR ASSEMBLY IN ELECTRONIC PACKAGING
Paste compositions comprising 40-70 percent by weight (wt %) of a low melting point (LMP) particle composition comprising Y; 25-65 wt % of a high melting point (HMP) particle composition comprising M; and 1-15 wt % of a fluxing vehicle. The reaction products formed between M and Y are crystalline intermetallics that are solids at temperature T1 and the surface area of said HMP particle composition is in the range of 0.07 to 0.18 square meters per gram of Y in said composition. Also provided are methods of contacting electronic compositions using the paste compositions.
Wear-resistant member and wear-resistant member production method
A wear-resistant member production method includes: forming a clad layer by moving, relative to a substrate while feeding cladding powder onto the substrate and melting it using a local heating device; and cutting the clad layer. The cladding powder includes matrix powder containing a copper-based alloy, and hard powder including, as a hard phase, a silicide containing one or more elements selected from Cr, Fe, Co, Ni, and Cu, and one or more elements selected from Mo, W, and Nb. The hard powder includes first hard powder and second hard powder. The second hard powder is fed, separately from the first hard powder, to a melt pool formed by melting the first hard powder and the matrix powder, such that at least part of the second hard powder remains unmelted within the clad layer.
