MULTILAYERED METAL NANO AND MICRON PARTICLES
A sintering powder, wherein a least a portion of the particles making up the sintering powder comprise: a core comprising a first material; and a shell at least partially coating the core, the shell comprising a second material having a lower oxidation potential than the first material.
Fusible Metal Clay, Structures Formed Therefrom, and Associated Methods
Structures for a tool surface of a downhole tool are constructed from a metal clay molded in a wet state. The wet state clay is a workable combination that can have a braze alloy grain, a tungsten carbide grain, and a binder. Additional cutting inserts can be embedded in the molded clay. Heat treatment applied to the molded metal clay causing the binder to be combusted and consumed. The braze alloy melts and then cools into a fused state with the tungsten carbide grain therein. The structure can affix to the tool surface of the tool by first being fused and then attached by brazing to the tool. Alternatively, the structure can be positioned in a fusible state adjacent the tool surface. When the heat treatment is applied, the structure fuses together and forms a metallurgical bond with the tool surface of the tool.
Braze Coating Material with Nickel Core and Coating and Preparation Method and Braze Coating method thereof
A braze coating material with a nickel core and a coating, a preparation method thereof, and a braze coating method are provided. The braze coating material with a nickel core and a coating requires no binder and has strong adhesion ability, and includes the nickel core, a coating layer, a hardened layer, and a protective layer sequentially from inside to outside. The nickel core is metallic nickel having a surface subjected to a roughening treatment. The coating layer is a first brazing flux layer including hard particles, a first brazing flux, and a brazing filler metal powder. The hardened layer contains a second brazing flux and is covered with the protective layer mainly composed of a silicate.
BRAZING MATERIAL, BRAZING MEMBER, HEAT EXCHANGER, AND PRODUCING METHOD OF BRAZING MEMBER
A brazing material for brazing aluminum or an aluminum alloy includes fluoride-based flux, a solidifying agent, and an organic viscosity reducing agent and is solid at 25° C.
Low pressure sintering powder
A sintering powder comprising: a first type of metal particles having a mean longest dimension of from 100 nm to 50 μm.
Metal paste and thermoelectric module
The present invention relates to a metal paste including: a first metal powder including nickel (Ni); a second metal powder including at least one selected from the group consisting of tin (Sn), zinc (Zn), bismuth (Bi), and indium (In); and a dispersing agent, and to a thermoelectric module which adopts a bonding technique using the metal paste.
Nanoparticle composite welding filler materials, and methods for producing the same
A universal approach is described to produce welding filler materials with enhanced grain refining, for making welded objects with hot-crack resistance. Some variations provide a welding filler material comprising a functionalized metal-containing powder, wherein the functionalized metal-containing powder comprises metal or metal alloy particles and a plurality of nanoparticles disposed on surfaces of the metal or metal alloy particles, and wherein the nanoparticles are consolidated in a three-dimensional architecture throughout the welding filler material. A welded object contains a welding filler material comprising the functionalized metal-containing powder, enabling the welded object to be free of hot cracks. Other variations provide methods of making a welding filler material. This approach has been successfully demonstrated by incorporating zirconium-based nanoparticle grain refiners within a welding precursor material for welding aluminum alloy Al 7075, as one non-limiting example.
WELDING ELECTRODE WITH FUNCTIONAL COATINGS
The disclosed technology generally relates welding electrodes, and more particularly to consumable welding electrodes having functional coatings. In one aspect, a welding electrode comprises a core wire having a base metal composition and two or more coatings covering at least a portion of the core wire. The two or more coatings comprise an electrically conductive coating including one or more electrically conducting elements or compounds in addition to or other than copper (Cu). The two or more coatings additionally comprises an additional functional coating including one or more additional elements or compounds adapted to reduce friction of the welding electrode, stabilize an arc formed from the welding electrode, modify a microstructure of a weld metal formed from the welding electrode and/or modify a surface tension of a molten droplet formed from the welding electrode. In another aspect, a method of manufacturing a welding electrode comprises providing the core wire having the base metal composition and forming the two or more coating layers.
Multilayered metal nano and micron particles
A sintering powder, wherein a least a portion of the particles making up the sintering powder comprise: a core comprising a first material; and a shell at least partially coating the core, the shell comprising a second material having a lower oxidation potential than the first material.
