The table includes a workpiece holder, a table base including a first support portion and a second support portion for turnably supporting the workpiece holder at positions spaced from each other in an X-axis direction, the workpiece holder being mounted on the table base, and a turning device that is provided in the first support portion, and turns the workpiece holder around a turning center axis extending in the X-axis direction. The machine tool further includes a first feeding device and a second feeding device that are provided on the bed and are connected to the first support portion and the second support portion respectively to drive the table in the Z-axis direction.
System and method for determining spatial locations of fixture element fixturing points on a part to be manufactured with the aid of a digital computer
Automated fixture layout is approached in two distinct stages. First, the spatial locations of clamping points on the work piece are determined to ensure immobility of the fixtured part under any infinitesimal perturbation. Second, spatial locations are matched against a user-specified library of reconfigurable clamps to synthesize a valid fixture layout or configuration that includes clamps that are accessible and collision free. The spatial locations matching during the second stage can be the same spatial locations chosen in the first stage to ensure immobility, or a different set of spatial locations.
HEIGHT SPECIFIABLE PLATE SYSTEM AS REPLACEMENT FOR MOLDED VACUUM SUPPORT BOX
A predetermined height specialized support plate and post structural assembly replaces the plastic injection molded box-shaped structure used in a conventional vacuum support. The support plates interfit and support a conventional rubber vacuum engagement body in a manner similar to but more strengthened than otherwise. Predetermined height is achieved by specifying the length of support posts that stabilize, make handling easier, and may also preferably provide a source of vacuum to oppositely oriented vacuum engagement bodies.
UNIVERSAL HOLDER FOR WORKPIECE TO BE MACHINED
A universal holder for a workpiece to be machined including a serrated inclined plane and an equally serrated positioning block mounted in a movable manner along the inclined plane in an adjustment position and in a fixed manner along the inclined plane in a clamping position for a machining operation.
Device for mounting a blank on a modular supporting system
A device for mounting a blank on a modular supporting system includes a first component fixing the supporting system to a supporting base plate and having a first main reference axis; a second component fixing the supporting system to a blank and having has a second main reference axis; and a rotary joint having a rotation axis that is transverse to both of the first and second main reference axes, and further having a first part that is fixed to the first component and that has a contoured pivoting portion to allow the rotation thereon of a second part, fixed to the second component, about the rotation axis, the rotary joint including a reversible element causing a stable locking between the first part and the second part in an angular position selected between a plurality of available angular positions.
Method for manufacturing a dental prosthesis
This invention concerns a manufacturing method of a dental prosthesis, with specific reference to single-tooth prostheses. In particular, this invention deals with a manufacturing method a dental prosthesis or part thereof, that includes a milling step of a block (1) made of a material suitable for dental uses, where the aforementioned block (1) is secured to a connection device (L) with a dental implant.
Quick change fastener
A fastener comprises a housing, a socket, a pintle and a locking feature. The housing includes a shaft, a central bore that extends axially at least partially through the housing and a ball lock aperture extending from the bore. The socket extends into the housing adjacent to the first end face, and is configured such that rotation of the first socket rotates the fastener. The pintle is positioned within the bore and includes an actuation end and a rod that extends axially from the actuation end. The rod includes a ball transitioning surface and a ball locking surface. The pintle is moveable axially within the bore between a designated lock position where the ball locking surface of the pintle is aligned in register with each ball lock aperture, and a designated unlocked position where the ball lock surface of the pintle is moved axially away from each ball lock aperture.
Press mechanism
A press mechanism includes a driving mechanism, a connecting plate connected to the driving mechanism, an installation plate, and a press assembly. The press assembly includes a base defining at least one first resisting groove, at least one first press block and at least one second press block positioned on the base. The first press block includes at least one first elastic member and a first connecting block defining at least one second resisting groove. A predetermined distance is defined between the first connecting block and the base, and the first elastic member is received in the first resisting groove and the second resisting groove.
Rotating mill vise jaws
Rotating vise jaws comprising first, second, third, and forth elements used with a milling machine vise to hold objects having either parallel or nonparallel edges. Wherein, said first element consists of a vertical axis tool post adapted to fit either a movable or stationary wall disposed at a milling machine vise. Said vertical axis tool post disposes a cylindrical shaft defining a vertical axis for cooperating with said second element comprising a vertical axis vise jaw having beveled side walls and a correlative through hole for cooperating with said vertical axis. Thus, said vertical axis tool post is attached to a milling machine vise and said vertical axis vise jaw is connected to said vertical axis, thereby providing a self-aligning vise jaw with a reversible clamping face; wherein said vise jaw is rotatable about a vertical axis for holding objects having either parallel or nonparallel edges.
Wherein, said third element consists of a horizontal axis tool post having a correlative through hole for connecting said horizontal axis tool post to said vertical axis. said horizontal axis tool post disposes a cylindrical shaft defining a horizontal axis for cooperating with said forth element comprising a horizontal axis vise jaw having beveled side walls and a correlative through hole for cooperating with said horizontal axis. Thus, said vertical axis tool post is attached to a milling machine vise, said horizontal axis tool post is connected to said vertical axis, said horizontal axis vise jaw is connected to said horizontal axis, thereby providing a self-aligning vise jaw with a reversible clamping face, wherein said vise jaw is rotatable about a horizontal axis for holding objects having either parallel or nonparallel edges.
WORK HOLDING FIXTURE
A work holding fixture manufactured out of one single block of metal, usually aluminum. The size of the block may vary according to the size and weight of the workpiece to be held. A dovetail shape cut with female characteristics is machined on the top face of the fixture, the dimension of this dovetail shape cut also vary according to the size of the workpiece. Two more cuts are added to the fixture to make the fixture somewhat flexible. One of these cuts is machined on the center of the fixture and perpendicular to the dovetail shape cut and the other cut parallel to the dovetail shape cut. To hold the workpiece in the work holding fixture: The same size dovetail shape must be machined on one of the faces of the blank. The dovetail shape cut must have the same dimension as the dovetail shape cut on the work holding fixture but have male characteristics. Once the dovetail shape cut is machined the blank slides easily in the work holding fixture. The blank is tightened with 10-32 screws. At this point the blank is ready to be applied to the desired manufacturing process.
