Spindle clamp for tool holder
A machine tool clamping device for releasably holding a tool holder having a tapered shank and a knob protruding from the tapered shank, the clamping device having: a spindle, rotatable about an axis, and having a tapered socket at a lower end thereof and an axial passage, the tapered socket being complementary in shape to the shank of a tool holder. Clamping members are pinned to the spindle and extend into the axial passage, the clamping members being pivotal between a clamped position in which the clamping members clamp the tool holder knob, and an unclamped position in which the clamping members release the tool holder knob. A drawbar is slidable within the spindle axial passage between the clamping members, the drawbar having a surface that acts to pivot the clamping members between the clamped and unclamped positions depending on the position of the drawbar within the axial passage. A spring is arranged between the drawbar and the spindle to bias the drawbar to the clamped position.
TOOL CLAMPING SYSTEM
Various embodiments relate to a tool-clamping system having two metallic shaft portions, wherein the first shaft portion has a locking pin at the end and the second shaft portion has a locking sleeve at the end, wherein, in order to establish a releasable drive connection, the first shaft portion can be introduced coaxially, by way of its locking pin, into the locking sleeve of the second shaft portion and the two shaft portions can be pivoted in relation to one another, in a locking pivoting movement, about a common geometrical longitudinal axis into a locking pivot position, wherein, over the course of the locking pivoting movement, at least one latching formation arranged on the circumference of the locking pin, snap-fits or snap-fit over at least one corresponding mating latching formation of the locking sleeve, the locking pin and/or locking sleeve being elastically deformed in the process.
Machine tool
A machine tool includes: a lower tool rest on which a plurality of tools are mounted; a motor provided at the lower tool rest, for rotating a rotating tool when the rotating tool is mounted on the lower tool rest; and a tool holder attached to the lower tool rest, for detachably holding the tool. The tool holder has a clamping mechanism portion operating between a clamping state of clamping the tool and an unclamping state of unclamping the tool, as a result of transmission of motive power generated at the motor. With such a configuration, the clamping mechanism portion for automatically clamping and unclamping the tool held in the tool holder on the tool rest is provided with a simple configuration.
Tool tongs
The invention relates to tool tongs for the releasable holding of a tool, for example in a machine tool. The invention is characterized in that the tool tongs are formed by a tongs basic element and a tongs clamping element interacting and connected with the tongs basic element, wherein in the tool holding position the tongs basic element and the tongs clamping element hold the tool clampingly at its gripping elements, wherein the tongs basic element and/or the tongs clamping element is/are formed of flat material or plate-like material, such as, for example, steel sheet or the like.
RESILIENT TOOL HOLDER CLAMP FOR CNC APPLICATIONS
A spring urged tool holder clamp for CNC tool holder magazines that hold a variety of cutting and milling tools for automatic tool changes to a spindle for milling. The individual tool holders are removably secured and held by resilient clamping that frictionally engages the tool holder in place. Independent pivoted opposing engagement jaws on the tool holder clamp diminishes wear and maintains precise positioning of the tool holder critical to the automatic tool loading.
Automatic Tool Changer System
Embodiments of an automatic tool changer system are described. An automatic tool changer can be mounted on a robot or machine to enable automatic switching between various tools. Embodiments of an automatic tool changer system described in this invention allow infinite rotation of the tool. The system comprises an automatic tool changer and a mating tool coupler. The automatic tool changer includes a body with a passageway and at least one port housing a detent member. The detent member is movable between a locked position for engaging a tool and an unlocked position for releasing it. A solenoid is configured to drive the detent member directly or drive an engagement actuator that facilitates the detent members' movement. The mating tool coupler includes a pocket configured to receive the body of the automatic tool changer and one or more indentations that align with the detent member to secure the tool during operation. The system further includes optional rotational blockers and a tool base for stabilizing and enabling more complex tools, cavities for additional sensors, and features such as a tapered surface for alignment, a rotary seal for environmental protection, and a spring alignment structure for biasing components into position. The invention enables automatic tool exchange in a quiet, compact form factor while allowing for continuous rotation of components and broad adaptability to various tool designs.
Robotic tool changer system through magnetic coupling force and all-round mechanical locking
A robotic tool changer system through magnetic coupling force and all-round mechanical locking includes a first coupling unit, a plurality of second coupling units, and a plurality of tool changer grippers. The first coupling unit is fixed to a robot arm. The first coupling unit includes a first locking unit and a first magnetic unit. Each second coupling unit is detachably connected to one of the tool changer grippers and includes a second locking unit and a second magnetic unit. When the first coupling unit is moved to approach one of the second coupling units at a predetermined distance, the first coupling unit and the second coupling unit are coupled to each other by a magnetic coupling force, then the first coupling unit and the second coupling unit are fixed to each other through all-round mechanical locking of the first locking unit and the second locking unit.
Automatic tool exchanger
In order to be suitable for space-saving of a multi-functional processing machine in which a tool main spindle device is disposed at a center of an opposed biaxial lathe, there is provided an automatic tool exchanger provided in the multi-functional processing machine, the automatic tool exchanger including: a tool magazine that is disposed in a machine body front surface upper portion of the multi-functional processing machine and is configured to house multiple tools for exchange with respect to the tool main spindle device; a shift device configured to move the tool between the tool magazine and a tool exchanging position with respect to the tool main spindle device; and a tool changer configured to exchange the tool between the shift device and the tool main spindle device.
Multi-spindle machine tool
In order to configure a multi-spindle machine tool comprising a machine frame, a spindle drum arranged on the machine frame to be rotatable about a spindle drum axis and having a plurality of workpiece spindles, each of which is provided with a workpiece receptacle for a workpiece that is to be machined in a working area, a plurality of tool carriers arranged in the working area, in particular associated with individual spindle stations, and each having a tool holder receptacle into which a tool holder is insertable, as well as a machine control system for controlling the machine tool to be more efficient, it is proposed that a handling apparatus is arranged on the machine frame, that with the handling device, also controlled by the machine control system, at least one tool holder is insertable into at least one of the tool holder receptacles and/or removable therefrom.
