Head gate for a cattle containment chute
In a cattle chute including a head gate at the head end with gates movable from a closed position in a common plane to an open position facing the incoming animals there is provided a transverse abutment member across the top of vertical bars of the gates and a pull cord operable by a worker at the rear end of the chute to push the vertical bars into the closed position.
Apparatus, system and method for an adjustable livestock alley
An adjustable livestock alley system includes an animal passageway formed by two opposing passageway sides, a width of the animal passageway adjustable by a first drill-operated top wind jack that actuates both passageway sides simultaneously inward and simultaneously outward symmetrically about a centerline of the animal passageway, and a no-backs rail including a plurality of no-backs, a height of the no-backs rail adjustable by a second drill-operated top wind jack that actuates the no-backs rail upwards and downwards.
LEECH THERAPY DEVICE
A leech therapy device adapted to latch a medicinal leech to a predetermined wound site is provided. The leech therapy device includes a conduit extending between a first end to a second end; an inner diameter of the conduit dimensioned to receive a medicinal leech, the inner diameter being less than twice a girth of the medicinal leech; and a cutout provided in the conduit closer to the first end than the second end; the cutout extending over a surface area between 100 and 150 squared millimeters. Wherein a user places a medicinal leech into the inner diameter, wherein a head of the medicinal leech is adjacent to the cutout, and then the user selectively positions said leech therapy device so that the cutout substantially circumscribed the wound site so that the medicinal leech can engage the wound site.
Apparatus for lifting and positioning four-legged animals
Disclosed is an apparatus for lifting and positioning four-legged animals, in particular dogs, comprising a main frame to be placed on the ground or floor, and a lifting device (2) supported by the main frame. The lifting device (2) comprises a vertically positioned or positionable column (3) that includes a vertically adjustable lifting cross-beam (4) and bars (5) which project from the lifting cross-beam (4), preferably in an orthogonal direction, and which support a mat, a cloth, a net or a plurality of straps acting as a holder for the animal.

Device and method for animal suspension, immobilization, rehabilitation, and grooming
A device for immobilizing, grooming, and rehabilitating animals comprising: a beam, leg set assembly, crossbeam, suspension strap set, suspension strap clasps at the end of each suspension strap, cranking mechanism, hooking bar, and harness. The cranking mechanism comprises a lockable crank attaching to the first angle bracket, a pulley attaching to the beam at the beam midpoint, a hoist line, comprising a line and a first and second line end running through the pulley and connecting to the crank at the first line end, and a hoist hook attaching to the hoist line at the second line end.
SYSTEM FOR ACCLIMATING A HORSE TO THE SOUND OF AN ARENA CHUTE GATE AND METHOD OF USE OF THE SAME
A system for acclimating a horse to the sound of opening a chute gate of a rodeo arena in a timed chase event is disclosed. The system includes an arena with a chute gate, a recording and playback device, at least one speaker, and a controller. In use, a horse-mounted rider is contained within a box at the side of the chute. The horse has incorrectly associated the sound of the gate with beginning chase. The recording and playback device records the sound of the opening of the gate, which may be played back for the horse to hear within the box. Upon hearing the sound, the rider holds back the horse to prevent giving chase. Repeated use acclimates the horse to the sound and teaches the horse to wait for the rider's cue to begin chase. A method of use is also disclosed.
Non-human Primate Restraint System
A non-human primate restraint system comprising a complex of a manipulating chamber and a restraint chamber. The system provides a humane, interactive, and safe structure and methods for leading non-human primates from a chute or a cage, through the manipulating chamber, and into a restraint chamber. The restraint chamber is removably attached to the manipulating chamber. The restraint chamber has an upper part with a screen, a middle portion with slots to accommodate platforms, and a lower section with a screen. The screens can be retracted or removed to access either the top portion or lower portion of the NHP.
Tipping livestock handling chute apparatus
A tipping livestock handling apparatus is provided which includes a support frame positioned on the ground. A squeeze chute or other type of animal handling chute is positioned on the chute frame. The chute is pivotally secured to the support frame and is pivoted between an upright position and a horizontally disposed position by way of hydraulic cylinders so that the legs and feet of the animal in the chute are accessible for treatment.
Animal Supporting Device
An animal supporting device having a having three primary dimensions of unequal lengths for engaging the abdomen or other body part of an animal at various support elevations. The device may have one or more trough-shaped channels for engaging the abdomen or other body part of the animal at alternative support elevations. The device may have a dog-bone-shaped outline. Other embodiments are described and shown.
