Small animal resistance exercise system
A system for examining resistance exercise includes a first trap compartment, a second trap compartment, a main track compartment and a pulley system which can be aligned to form a continuous tunnel. Each of the compartments can have adjustable dimensions to retain small animals of various sizes. The pulley system includes a clamp and a pulley shaft. The pulley shaft is pivotally attached to the clamp at a lower end and a first pulley wheel at an upper end. A second pulley wheel is pivotally attached to the clamp. A rope is trained on the pulley wheels. The tunnel can be positioned on an elevated support surface. One end of the rope is attachable to a rat on the elevated support surface and the other end of the rope is to attached to liftable strength training objects positioned below the elevated support surface.
Push button operated rodent restrainer
The push button operated rodent restrainer is designed to hold a rodent in position to access their tail veins during tail vein injections or for extraction of blood. The assembly includes a base rectangular platform supporting two hinged, transparent half-cylinders. When the assembly is closed, the half-cylinders form a closed tube, which restrains the rodent. The half-cylinders are made of transparent plastic to allow laboratory staff to observe the rodent. The tube facilitates restraining the rodent and includes a longitudinal slit to allow proper ventilation while the rodent is restrained. One end of the closed tube has a slot, which allows the rodent's tail to protrude outside the tube for access to the tail. A push button mounted on a resilient lever is connected to the tube halves such that when the push button is depressed, the tube opens, and when the push button is released, the tube closes.
Cattle chute lamp
A lamp assembly selectively engageable with a frame member of a cattle chute without using tools. The frame member is received into a channel of a mounting assembly of the lamp assembly. A locking mechanism is pivoted to lock the mounting assembly around the frame member. The orientation of the lamp is adjusted by pivoting a support assembly connected to the lamp into a desired position relative to the mounting assembly and engaging locking pins to retain the support assembly in the selected orientation. The lamp includes a plurality of LEDs that are actuated to shine light into the cattle chute. The lamp assembly is removed from the chute frame member by pivoting the locking mechanism back to an unlocked position and then moving the mounting assembly in a direction that causes the frame member to exit the channel.
Apparatus for restraining the lower legs and feet of a livestock animal
An apparatus for securing the legs of livestock animals includes a frame also which defines an entrance and an exit and which presents sidewalls which extend between the entrance and the exit thereby presenting a chute suitable for the ingress and egress of a livestock animal. Near the floor of the chute and between the entrance and the exit are leg bars which are able to move between a retracted position suitable for allowing the lower legs of a livestock animal to move freely between the leg bars and the sidewalls and an extended position in which the leg bars are closer to the sidewalls so that the lower legs of a livestock animal are held securely between the leg bars and sidewalls. The apparatus can be used to secure the lower legs of a livestock animal and thereby immobilize the animal.
SINGLE FACTOR MODELING-CONSTRAINT METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MICE CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME
The present invention belongs to animal experiments field, disclosed a single factor modeling-constraint method and device for mice chronic fatigue syndrome, the modeling-constraint method is specifically using mineral water bottle to restraint mice; the mineral water bottle is divided into upper, middle and lower parts; the body of mineral water bottle is uniformly drilled for mice to breathe; the inner of the mineral water bottle is blocked by a cardboard to reduce the move space of mice; cover the mice through the divided bottle; one end of the opening is tightly attach to the wall, the other end is tightly attach to the mice feeding box, and keeping 30 minutes to restraint. The present invention utilizes mineral water bottle to make three simple restraint tube, not only saves the costs of experiment, but also turns waste into treasure, which is a simple operation, and increases the possibility of the experiment.
Horse training apparatus with hoppers, an adjustment member, and a notched disk latch
Apparatus for training horses includes a housing including a lower section under an upper section, the lower section configured with a stall for confining a horse and having opposed sides, and the upper section including a tank for loose granular material and configured with a hopper proximate to each of the sides, the hoppers concurrently openable for releasing the loose granular material into the lower section from above the stall along the respective sides for sufficiently filling the stall with the loose granular material for covering at least a portion of the horse.
Bucking chute with side panels having rider clearances
The present invention provides a bucking chute with side panels that include clearance portions adjacent to the legs of a rider of a rodeo animal. The clearance portions provide clearance space for the legs of the rider in order to reduce the likelihood of injury to the rider while the rider is mounted on the rodeo animal in the chute prior to the start of the rodeo event.
Device and Method For Animal Suspension, Immobilization, Rehabilitation, and Grooming
A device for immobilizing, grooming, and rehabilitating animals comprising: a beam, leg set assembly, crossbeam, suspension strap set, suspension strap clasps at the end of each suspension strap, cranking mechanism, hooking bar, and harness. The cranking mechanism comprises a lockable crank attaching to the first angle bracket, a pulley attaching to the beam at the beam midpoint, a hoist line, comprising a line and a first and second line end running through the pulley and connecting to the crank at the first line end, and a hoist hook attaching to the hoist line at the second line end.
POULTRY CARRIERS AND METHODS OF RESTRAINING POULTRY
Bird carriers and methods of restraining birds are disclosed. Each bird carrier may include a torso support, one or more leg clamps, and a head support. The head support may further include a beak receiving passage such that at least a portion of the birds' beaks are exposed. The bird carriers may restrain one or both legs and heads of the birds while supporting their torsos. Restraining the legs and the heads of the birds while supporting their torsos may produce a calming effect such that the birds exhibit significantly reduced struggling in an attempt to free themselves from the carrier.
Animal weighing apparatus and methods
The present invention provides a platform and/or associated structure for weighing an animal, the platform and/or associated structure being configured to conceal, or configured to facilitate concealment, from the animal of a foreign sensory stimulus of the platform and/or associated structure. The platform may be configured to retain a natural material (such as soil) or a simulated natural material on or about the platform and/or associated structure. The platform is typically incorporated into a weighing apparatus for use with larger animals such as cattle.
