The feeding and milking area comprises a plurality of feeding stations, each feeding station including: a manger configured to permit a cow to obtain dry feed; a waterer configured to permit the cow to obtain drinking water; and a head lock configured to releasably secure the cow in the feeding station while the cow is being milked. The pasture area is configured to permit a plurality of cows to lay down. The pasture area includes a raised bed composed of a bedding material and having a predetermined slope selected to facilitate removal of excess liquid from the pasture area.

The present invention provides a bucking chute with side panels that include clearance portions adjacent to the legs of a rider of a rodeo animal. The clearance portions provide clearance space for the legs of the rider in order to reduce the likelihood of injury to the rider while the rider is mounted on the rodeo animal in the chute prior to the start of the rodeo event.

The ergonomic pet carrier is an apparatus that evenly distributes the weight of a dog against the shoulder and the back of a user. The apparatus includes a first shoulder strap assembly, a second shoulder strap assembly, a frame, a supporting panel, and a plurality of leg-receiving holes. The first shoulder strap and the second shoulder strap assembly evenly distribute the weight of the dog across each shoulder and the back of the user. A system for restraining a plurality of animals includes a first strap with a first end and a second end and respective connection points fixed to the first end and the second end. The system further includes a second strap with a first end and a second end and respective connectors fixed to the first end and the second end. The connector fixed on the first end is coupled/decoupled to/from the connection point fixed on the first end of the first strap, and the connector fixed on the second end can be coupled/decoupled to a connection point on a first animal collar, harness, or halter.

A livestock management system is provided that spray marks animals for sorting or market weight selection. The system includes a pen area partitioned into a feeding area containing at least one feeder and a common watering area containing at least one waterer. A walk-through scale has an inlet open to the watering area and an outlet open to the feeding area. The walk-through scale has a weighing device that determines if the animal is within the specified set weight for marking. The weighing device determines the weight of the animal as the animal center of mass crosses the center of the weighing platform. The system allows spray marking of the animal to be done in a stress free environment that improves overall growth potential.

A livestock stanchion with an improved support yoke including at least one releaseable support yoke comprising a mounting member fixed to and projecting upward from a horizontal rail. A support space formed in an upper end of each mounting member supports a locking bar. A removable pin for a support yoke crosses the upper region of a support space to prevent dislodging of the locking bar. The mounting member can be a plate or have a generally V, U, H, circular, arcuate or poloygonal shaped cross section.

A device and method of use for a portable pet bed are described herein. The portable pet bed includes a decorative front/top panel and a backing back/bottom panel stitched together around the edges, creating a space for a fill, such as padded bedding or an absorbent pad. In some examples, the fill is removable through a slot in the second panel. Additionally, some examples of the pet bed include a tuck flap, therein the bed may be collapse and compressed for travel or storage by tightly rolling the bed and tucking it into a pouch formed by the tuck flap.

A livestock headgate has a pair of gate panels movable between closed and open positions holding an releasing an animal in an exit opening of a livestock chute. Each gate panel, at the inner edge thereof facing the other gate panel, has a respective angled bracing surface for abutting against a respective lateral side of a neck of the livestock animal in the gate's closed position. In a forward direction moving toward a front of the gate that faces outward from the chute, the angled bracing surfaces are of convergent relation to one another, and thus closer together near the animal's head and further apart from one another closer to the animal's shoulders. The angled bracing surfaces help prevent back-out of wide-necked animals from the closed gate, and may be embodied as auxiliary bracing members of an optional add-on kit for a standard head gate.
