Pneumatic apparatus having rotary vane motor operable as part of a three component magnetic circuit
A pneumatically driven apparatus, including a hand guided and/or hand held pneumatic power tool, includes a pneumatic rotary vane (PRV) motor, a working element and a gear arrangement for transmitting a rotational movement and torque. The PRV motor includes a housing defining a cylindrical chamber extending along a cylinder axis, and a cylindrical rotor located in the chamber and extending along and rotatable about an axis running to the cylinder axis. The rotor includes radially movable vanes forced radially outwards during rotation of the rotor. The gear arrangement is a magnetic gear arrangement, and that the rotor of the motor includes permanent magnets attached thereto between the vanes, so that the rotor of the PRV motor forms one of the rotating components of the magnetic gear arrangement.
APPARATUS, IN PARTICULAR HAND GUIDED AND/OR HAND HELD PNEUMATIC POWER TOOL
The invention refers to a pneumatically driven apparatus, in particular a hand guided and/or hand held pneumatic power tool (1), comprising a pneumatic rotary vane motor (100), a working element (9) and a gear arrangement functionally located between the motor (100) and the working element (9) for transmitting a rotational movement and torque. The motor (100) comprises a housing defining a cylindrical chamber (114) extending along a cylinder axis, and a cylindrical rotor (104) located in the chamber (114) and extending along and rotatable about an axis (60) running parallel to the cylinder axis, the rotor (104) comprising a plurality of radially movable vanes (108) forced radially outwards during rotation of the rotor (104). It is suggested that the gear arrangement is a magnetic gear arrangement (20) and that the rotor (104) of the motor (100) comprises permanent magnets (56) attached thereto between the vanes (108) thereby making the rotor (104) of the pneumatic motor (100) form one of the rotating components (52; 54) of the magnetic gear arrangement (20).

Rotary seal
A rotary union for use along an incompressible fluid path between a rotating machine component and a non-rotating machine component includes a non-rotating seal carrier including a non-rotating seal element, which together with the non-rotating seal carrier define a net hydraulic surface on an internal side and a net pneumatic surface on an external side. Contact of an incompressible fluid under pressure with the net hydraulic surface creates a closing force, and contact of a compressible fluid under pressure with the net pneumatic surface creates an opening force.

NINETY DEGREE AUTO CHANGER SPINDLE MOUNTING ASSEMBLY
A novel mounting assembly used with an air spindle is described. The mounting assembly includes an insertable top portion for inserting into a mounting collar and to be rotatable therein, the insertable top portion formed with an upper disk shape with a first diameter and a lower disk shape with a second diameter and adjacent to the upper disk shape, an outer circumference of the upper disk shape having a groove formed therein, and the upper disk shape and the lower disk shape having a passage axially formed therethrough perpendicular to the groove. The mounting assembly further includes a sleeve disposed below the insertable top portion, the sleeve defining an opening with a sidewall which is perpendicular to the insertable top portion, the opening sized to hold a spindle, a port inside a wall of the sleeve defining the opening providing fluid communications with the passage of the insertable top portion.

BIDIRECTIONAL AIR INLET VALVE ASSEMBLY
In an improved air inlet valve assembly, a flow of air along a first or second flow path may be controlled by a position of air inlet guide surfaces of a rotatable valve relative to air inlet guide slots of a fixed valve sleeve. Air flowing along the first flow path may rotate a motor in a first direction to operate the tool in a forward mode. Air flowing along the second flow path may rotate the motor in the second direction to operate the tool in a reverse mode. In the forward mode, as air flows along the first flow path, air may be discharged along a primary discharge path, with a portion of the second flow path providing a secondary discharge path. In the reverse mode, as air flows along the second flow path, air may be discharged along the primary discharge path, with a portion of the first flow path providing the secondary discharge path.
