LANCE AND MINIMUM QUANTITY LUBRICATION TOOL HAVING A LANCE
A minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) tool including a lance. The lance includes a passageway and an orifice. The passageway extends axially from a first end of the lance toward a second end of the lance and allows a lubricant supply to flow therein from the first end of the lance toward the second end of the lance. The first orifice extends radially through the lance at a location near the second end of the lance. The lubricant supply flowing through the passageway exits the orifice and is impinged upon by air flowing around the lance.

In one aspect, rotary cutting tools are described herein comprising sets of coolant channels having exit aperture in the flutes of the tools for efficient coolant delivery to multiple cutting surfaces. Briefly, a rotary cutting tool comprises a shank portion, and a cutting portion extending from the shank portion along a longitudinal axis, the cutting portion comprising flutes helically extending along the longitudinal axis and internal coolant channels comprising exit apertures in the flutes. A projection of an exit aperture of a first set of internal coolant channels intersects a rake face extending below a corner edge of the rotary cutting tool, and a projection of an exit aperture of a second set of internal coolant channels intersects a rake face below a radial cutting edge of the rotary cutting tool.
ROTARY POWER TOOL
A power tool includes a housing with a motor housing portion and a drive housing portion, a handle extending from the housing and defining a gap between the handle and the housing, a motor located within the motor housing portion having a motor output shaft, a fan coupled to the motor output shaft, a battery to provide power to the motor, a trigger coupled to the handle and manipulable to energize the motor, a spindle extending within the drive housing portion and driven by the motor output shaft to rotate about an axis, and a fluid delivery system configured to supply a fluid to the spindle. The housing includes an air intake opening and a deflector to inhibit the fluid from entering the housing through the air intake opening, and rotation of the fan draws an airflow into the housing through the air intake opening.
Cutting processing system and performance test paper for evaluating discharge responsiveness thereof
A cutting processing system includes: a spindle mounted with a cutting tool in which a lubrication discharge path is formed along the central axis thereof for rotating the cutting tool; a lance provided inside the spindle in order to supply oil and air to the cutting tool; and a rotary union mounted on the end portion of the spindle for supplying the oil and the air to the lance in a non-mixed state.
Minimum quantity lubrication multidiameter cutting tool oil delivery
A cutting tool includes a body having a base and a cutting portion. The cutting portion defines a plurality of first edges and a plurality of second edges. The body defines a trunk passage, a plurality of first branch passages, and a plurality of first independent passages. Each of the first branch passages is open to the trunk passage and has an outlet open to an exterior of the cutting portion proximate to a corresponding one of the second edges. Each of the first independent passages is independent of the trunk passage and the first branch passages and has an outlet open to an exterior of the cutting portion proximate to a corresponding one of the first edges.
Toolholder Matched with the Internal Jet Cooling Spindle for Cryogenic Coolant
The invention provides a toolholder matched with the internal jet cooling spindle for cryogenic coolant. The toolholder is mainly composed of a hollow toolholder body, a high-performance thermal insulation structure and a bidirectional sealing structure. They can guide the cryogenic coolant from the spindle to the internal cooling channel of tool and realize the cryogenic thermal insulation and dynamic sealing. The high-performance thermal insulation structure inside the toolholder employs the material with a low thermal conductivity and a low linear expansion coefficient to restrain the low temperature impact of cryogenic coolant on the toolholder and spindle, to ensure the dimensional accuracy and assembly accuracy of the toolholder. The bidirectional sealing structure in the toolholder uses the ultra-low temperature resistant seal rings to prevent the cryogenic coolant from leaking towards the spindle and the tool, to ensure the stability of the coolant transport.
Whirling device
The whirling device comprises a retaining ring extending around a ring axis and a central opening and having at least one receiving area for a machining element for machining rod-shaped material in the area of the central opening. A coolant supply comprises a supply sleeve which is arranged on the retaining ring via a rotary bearing and comprises a coolant connection and a supply area adjoining a connection area of the retaining ring. Starting from at least one inlet opening in the connection area of the retaining ring, at least one passage leads through the retaining ring to at least one outlet opening which faces the central opening of the retaining ring and is designed for a machining element in a receiving area. No space is required for the coolant supply between the retaining ring and an assigned lathe.
Lathe tool comprising a tapered coolant channel and offset coolant outlet lines and corresponding production method
A rotary tool for machining workpieces, said tool comprising a base body having a clamping section and a tool head comprising a cutting region having at least one cutting edge. The tool head comprises at least one coolant channel for supplying a cooling and/or lubricating fluid into the cutting region. At least some sections of the coolant channel have a cross-section that tapers in the direction of the tool head. In this region, at least two coolant outlet lines branch off from contact points of the coolant channel in the direction of the tool head upper surface, and are offset in the axial longitudinal direction of the coolant channel. Also, a production method for a rotary tool, in which the blank of the tool is produced by a sintering method in which the coolant channel of the tool is formed integrally in the sintering method at the same time.
MACHINE TOOL
A machine tool comprising tool spindle (12) having a chuck (26) and a spindle motor, in which the chuck (26) can be actuated for the purpose of receiving and releasing a tool, a sealing air channel (40) is provided which extends at least partially radially outside the chuck (26). The sealing air channel (40) terminates in or at a protective cap (34).
