Adjustable ultrasonic micro-jet nozzle array with minimal quantity lubrication

Disclosed is an adjustable ultrasonic micro-jet nozzle array with minimal quantity lubrication, relating to cooling of machining. The array-type nozzle includes an inlet conduit, a recycle conduit and a cooling body having a microjet ejection assembly and a recycling assembly. The cooling body includes a microjet ejection chamber which is closed. The inlet conduit is provided at a top of the cooling body and communicates with the microjet ejection chamber. The recycle conduit is located in the microjet ejection chamber, and connects the recycling assembly and an external vacuum machine. The adjustable ultrasonic micro jet nozzle array of the present invention has the advantages of simple structure and being convenient to use. A flow rate of trace cooling fluid is increased to improve the cooling and lubricating effect. A cooling fluid mist is recycled by the vacuum suction to reduce the consumption of the lubricating fluid while ensuring the cooling effect.

This application relates to lubrication, and more particularly to an external cooling MQL manipulator and a machine tool and a lubrication method using the machine tool. The external cooling MQL manipulator includes a suspension structure, a robot arm, a controller and an oil mist generator. The suspension structure fixedly connects the robot arm and a frame, and a nozzle is provided on a free end of the robot arm; an oil mist generator is connected to the nozzle for ejecting oil mists to a processing area. When the machine tool works, the controller selects the corresponding lubrication parameters according to the processing parameters such as the cutter type and the workpiece material. The first motor and the second motor are controlled to rotate by the controller according to real-time changes of the processing positions detected by the detecting component, thereby adjusting the position of the nozzle.

MINIMUM QUANTITY LUBRICATION TOOL PRIMING METHOD

A method of priming a minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) tool includes determining a category of the tool, supplying a short-prime MQL dosage if the tool is a first category or if both a second category and lubricated within a first predetermined timeframe, and supplying a long-prime MQL dosage if the tool is the second category and has not been lubricated within the predetermined timeframe. The category is based on internal passage complexity of the tool.

In a method for operating a machine tool, a machine-specific flow resistance and a respective tool-specific flow resistance are ascertained for various tools. Tool-specific regulator parameters for regulating a pump of a coolant lubricant device are computed on the basis of the machine-specific flow resistance and the tool-specific flow resistance of the tool chucked in a tool spindle. Subsequently, the machine tool is operated using the tool-specific regulator parameters. In this way, a rapid and exact feed of coolant lubricant to the machining point of the respective chucked tool is enabled in a simple and flexible manner.

By analyzing influence of airflow fields in a milling area under different working conditions on injection of cutting fluid, an influence rule of a helical angle and a rotation speed of a cutter on the flow field is quantitatively analyzed, an optimal target distance of a nozzle, an angle between the nozzle and a milling cutter feeding direction and an angle between the nozzle and the surface of a workpiece are comprehensively determined, the nozzle is set according to a determined setting manner, and lubricating oil is sprayed to the milling area by utilizing the nozzle.
