SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DYNAMIC RELEASE PLANNING FOR INSECT RELEASE
The disclosure relates to systems and methods for dynamic release planning for insect release. One example method includes receiving information indicating a population of wild insects within a geographic region; determining a number of wild insects per unit area within the geographic region; placing, based on the number of wild insects per unit area, one or more insect release points based on the number of wild insects per unit area, each insect release point indicating a release of a predefined quantity of insects; and generating an insect release route through the geographic region, the insect release route passing through each insect release point.
MISSION PLANNER FOR THE AERIAL RELEASE OF MOSQUITOES
A method and system for preparing a distribution program for insects comprises obtaining distribution data of a wild population of insects; obtaining distribution parameters including distribution resolution levels of at least one available distribution vehicle; generating a population density map at a resolution level consistent with the distribution resolution level of the vehicle; generating a release map by modifying the population density map in accordance with the distribution parameters; and generating a path using the release map, the path defining dosages of insects to be released at respective locations along the path.

CYCLONE SEPARATION SYSTEM
A cyclone separation system (1) for separating live insects, comprising a discharge nozzle (5) having a discharge end (7) comprising a discharge channel (8) for discharging live insects from the cyclone separation system (1) when in use. The discharge channel (8) comprises primary air injection channels (11) arranged to provide an injected upstream air flow (F) in an upstream direction (U) back into the discharge nozzle (5) for stopping discharge of live insects. The discharge nozzle (5) comprises an inner wall part (12) extending between an intake end (6) of the discharge nozzle (5) and the discharge channel (8), wherein the inner wall part (12) comprises elongated secondary air injection channels (13) extending from the discharge channel (8) in the upstream direction (U), wherein the secondary air injection channels (13) are arranged to provide an injected lateral air flow (V) along the inner wall part (12).

MONITORING LIVESTOCK
A method of counting pigs or poultry includes mounting a camera at an alleyway through which the livestock pass with a width such that the livestock can pass at least two abreast and are free to turn to move in an opposite direction against the direction of travel before all livestock of the group complete their movement though the alleyway. An analysis of the images is carried out which takes into account errors caused by livestock which turn in the portion of the alleyway to move in the opposite direction temporarily before continuing to complete the travel through the portion of the single alleyway to the remote location and takes into account errors caused animals being side by side when passing through the portion of the single alleyway.

Insect storage and release
An insect storage and release device includes a rigid container used to store and transport insects. The insect storage and release device holds compressed insects or non-compressed insects. The insect storage and release device includes a removable enclosure and a reticulated foam. The reticulated foam provides compliance during packing of the insects.

COMPRESSING INSECTS FOR STORAGE AND RELEASE
A method of compressing insects includes loading an insect container into a retainer. The method further includes adding a population of insects to an interior volume of a compression device. The method further includes adding a foam section to the interior volume of the compression device. The method further includes compressing the interior volume of the compression device and transferring the population of insects and the foam section from the interior volume of the compression device to the insect container.
