SWIVELING BALL JOINT ASSEMBLY FOR GRINDING HEAD ASSEMBLY
A swiveling ball joint assembly set into a center of a driver plate to be used with a grinding head includes a rigid housing having a socket and a flange extending outwardly. An elongated shaft defines a rotational axis having a ball end enclosed within the socket and a coupling end to be connected with a spider arm. A bearing is concentrically aligned with the rotational axis and rotatably attached to the elongated shaft. A mounting hole to allow connection by fastener to a driver to translate rotational motion from the spider arm to the driver. A protective boot extends from the socket to a shelf to prevent foreign material from contaminating the socket.
Grinding Head for Floor Grinding Machine and Method of Assembling a Grinding Head, Setting a Belt Tensioner, Servicing, Assembling or Disassembling a Belt Pulley for a Floor Grinding Machine
The present disclosure relates to a grinding head (1) for a floor grinding machine for grinding floor surfaces of stone or stone-like material. Such a grinding head (1) comprises a lower casing member (3), comprising a lower support (31) and an upwardly extending edge portion (32), and an upper casing number (2), comprising an upper cover (21) and a downwardly extending edge portion (22), wherein the upper casing member (2) is joinable to the lower casing member (3) by causing axially distal portions of the edge portions to bear on each other.
FLOOR POLISHING APPARATUS
A brush assembly is provided for increasing an effective area and uniformity of performance in an abrasive floor polishing application at a given size of brush mount. The brush assembly includes a pad with slots for receiving abrasive blades. The pad includes variable protrusions to provide varied support to the abrasive blades. The blades have a trapezoidal body shape. The blades include abrading components including an abrasive material such as diamonds. In some embodiments, the abrading components include a metallic material, such as copper material. In some embodiments, the abrading components include a phenolic material.
Concrete Surface Polishing Trowel and Conversion Adaptor
An adaptor assembly for concrete finishing trowels that enables efficient polishing of concrete surfaces, and trowels equipped with said adaptors. A large, rigid, circular adaptor disk supports a plurality of spaced-apart polishing rotors that project into contact with the concrete surface being treated. Each polishing head is rotatably secured to the adaptor disk with a spindle assembly including suitable alignment bearings. The spindle assembly secures a rigid header beneath the adaptor disk that sandwiches a resilient, annular coupler between itself and a rigid driver plate beneath the coupler. Bosses on the coupler insure spacing and enable proper flexure. The driver plate removably mounts a resilient finishing ring, that supports a plurality of radially spaced apart, downwardly projecting, diamond-equipped pucks that frictionally bear against the concrete surface for abrading and polishing.
