System for adjusting down pressure loads on ground engaging elements of an agricultural implement
10542658 · 2020-01-28 · ·

A system for adjusting down pressure loads on a harrow of an agricultural implement may include a base hitch member and an upper tow arm pivotally coupled to the base hitch member. First and second linkage arms may pivotally couple to the upper tow arm. A lower support arm may pivotally couple to the first and second linkage arms. A plurality of ground engaging elements may be supported on the lower support arm. A tensioner assembly may include an actuator coupled between the base hitch member and the lower support arm. The actuator may include an actuator rod that extend and retract to adjust a relative distance between the base hitch member and the lower support arm. The actuator may regulate a down pressure applied on the plurality of ground engaging elements by adjusting the relative distance between the base hitch member and the lower support arm.

An agricultural tillage implement including a main frame section having a pull hitch tube extending in a travel direction and a plurality of pivotally coupled wing sections coupled with the main frame section. Each of the plurality of wing sections has at least one pivotal sub-frame. A hydraulic actuator is connected between the wing frame and the sub-frame to urge the sub-frame between an operating position and an elevated transport position. An actuator controller is configured to apply a predetermined force of the sub-frame towards the ground independently of other sub-frames so as to provide a more uniform tillage of the ground.

System for equalizing pressure on smoothing tools of a harrow

By providing a hydraulic system for configuring an angle of rotation for smoothing tools of a harrow that is predetermined for a tilling session, hydraulic pressure of the hydraulic system may be maintained (and not adjusted) to allow the hydraulic system to actuate during the tilling session by tilling forces encountered by the smoothing tools. As a result, the angle of the smoothing took may change during the tilling session, thereby allowing excessive plant residue encountered by the smoothing tools to be passed over to minimize plugging or bunching.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING FRAME LEVELNESS OF AN AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT

In one aspect, a system for monitoring frame levelness of an agricultural implement may include first and second sensors configured to detect first and second parameters indicative of forces exerted on first and second ground engaging tools of the implement by the ground, respectively. The system may also include a controller configured to monitor a parameter differential between the first and second parameters based on measurement signals received from the first and second sensors, with the monitored parameter differential being indicative of at least one of pitch or roll of a frame of the implement. The controller may be further configured initiate a control action associated with adjusting the pitch and/or the roll of the frame based on a magnitude of the monitored parameter differential to adjust an orientation of the frame relative to the ground.

Harrow downforce adjustment

A harrow attachment for a tillage implement includes a harrow drawbar mounting at least one rank of harrowing tools. A pivot link pivotally couples the harrow rank to the drawbar so it can trip by pivoting upward toward the drawbar from a home position in which the harrow rank is farthest away from the drawbar. A downforce spring is coupled to the drawbar and in a variable length state when the harrow rank is tripped to apply a return biasing force to the harrow rank. An adjustment mechanism couples the spring to the harrow rank and/or the pivot link in one of a plurality of adjustment locations in each of which the harrow rank is in the home position and the spring is in a fixed length state in which the biasing force is removed.

An agricultural implement includes: a chassis; a hitch connected to the chassis; and a harrow carried by the chassis. The harrow includes: a tine frame having at least one clamp tab; and at least one tine clamped to the tine frame by the at least one clamp tab, the at least one tine including a clamped portion with a pair of opposite ends and a pair of vertically descending teeth, each of the vertically descending teeth being connected to a respective end of the clamped portion.

Anti-tangle harrow attachment

A harrow attachment for a tillage implement has a harrow drawbar, configured to mount to a frame member of the tillage implement, and at least one harrow rank having a rank bar supporting a plurality of harrowing tools oriented to extend away from the rank bar. An anti-tangle bracket assembly has a first pivot link coupled to the harrow drawbar and a second pivot link pivotally coupled to the at least one harrow rank. The first and second pivot links pivot about pivot axes with respect to one another within a pivotal range of movement of the at least one harrow rank from a first, extended position to a second, tripped position.

Universal Frame and Implement System

Disclosed is a small-scale land prep and maintenance equipment system that includes a universal frame configured for use with multiple implements. The universal frame includes a tongue element that includes an implement connection point (such as a through-hole or threaded hole) configured for receiving a saddle and bolt aspect of an implement. Advantageously, the implement connection point of the universal frame and the saddle of the implement provide for a robust and rigid connection between the universal frame and an implement while also enabling quick changeover of landscaping implements. Moreover, because the universal frame may be used on any number of implements, the cost of an integrated frame in each implement is avoided.
