Particular embodiments provide an abrading tool for abrading a surface of a tire, the tool comprising means for rotating an abrading wheel, an abrading wheel rotatably attached to the means for rotating, and a depth guide secured to the means for rotating, wherein the depth guide includes a pair of freely rotatable, spaced apart guide wheels. Further embodiments include a depth guide configured for use with an abrading tool which includes a abrading wheel and a means for rotating the abrading wheel, the depth guide comprising a mounting member securable to the means for rotating and a pair of freely rotatable, spaced apart guide wheels rotatably attached to the mounting member. Particular embodiments further include a method for preparing a portion of a tire for repair.
Guard lock
A guard lock for a powered apparatus having a neck extending from a gear case is provided. The guard lock includes a guard member having a body portion for at least partially surrounding a working member of the power tool and a collar connected to and extending from the body portion, where the collar includes multiple windows that are spaced from one another. The guard lock also includes a stop lever coupled to the gear case via a fastener about which the stop lever may pivot, the stop lever including an engagement portion and a distant arm portion, and a biasing member for biasing the engagement portion of the stop lever toward a window of the collar. When the engagement portion is positioned within a window, rotation of the collar is permitted in a first direction where the window engages a first surface of the engagement portion but is prevented in a second direction where the window engages a second surface of the engagement portion. A depression of the distal arm portion toward the collar pivots the engagement portion away from the window.
Portable ski and snowboard edge sharpener
A portable ski and/or snowboard edge sharpener and method. The edge sharpener includes an abrasive grinding wheel, a belt driven drive train that connects the electric motor and the grinding wheel drive mechanism and decreases the grinding wheel's speed of rotation relative to the rotational speed of the motor, a grinding wheel mount allowing the operator to select and use grinding wheels of different grits and materials and grinding wheel control mechanisms allowing the operator to control the cut depth and the grinding wheel angles relative to the longitudinal and transverse planes of the ski edge surface to be sharpened. This configuration allows the operator to repeatedly sharpen a ski edge at a specific and chosen angle with a specific and chosen surface finish. Other features include, position lockdown devices being part of each of the control mechanisms and a vacuum system to capture residue from the grinding operation.
Dual-Use Guard of Angle Grinder
A dual-use guard of an angle grinder includes a first guard, a connecting portion, and a second guard, where the first guard includes a semicircular or fan-shaped base and an enclosure arranged on an edge of the base, the enclosure extends towards one side of the base by a set length, an arc-shaped notch allowing a spindle of the angle grinder to penetrate through is formed in the center of the base, an extension raised towards a side away from the enclosure is arranged at the notch of the base, and the connecting portion connected to the angle grinder is fixedly arranged on the extension of the base. The second guard is fixedly arranged on a side, away from the base, of the enclosure and shaped like a small cut circle. Debris can be effectively prevented from splashing out from the side face of the guard.
Dust cover for a cutting grinder
A dust hood (100), including a flange (90) for fastening the dust hood (100) to a transmission extension housing (210) of an angle grinder (200), and including a hood body (10) for covering a circular cutting wheel (220) on both sides, at least in sections, and including a suction connecting piece (40) for connecting a suction hose (400), via which removed substrate material (UG) may be extracted from the hood body (10), the dust hood (100) including a sensor unit (20), with the aid of which it is possible to detect whether the suction hose (20) is connected to the suction connecting piece (40) and/or whether a flap (45) of the suction connecting piece (40) is open.
Hand-Held Power Tool, in Particular Grinding Tool, Hand-Held Power Tool Apparatus, Protective Device, Hand-Held Power Tool System and Method for Producing a Hand-Held Power Tool Apparatus
A protection device, for a hand-held power tool for collision protection, of a tool and/or a tool holder configured to be arranged on the hand-held power tool, with objects in a working environment of the hand-held power tool, includes a base element and a fastening unit including at least two fixing rails which extend parallel to one another and have at least two latching recesses configured to releasably fasten the base element to the hand-held power tool.
Tool with accessory detection
A power tool, such as a grinder, may include: a prime mover such as a motor; a power-transmission mechanism operably connected to the prime mover; a housing that houses the prime mover and the power-transmission mechanism; and a tool-accessory retaining part for holding a tool accessary. The tool-accessory retaining part is operably connected to the power-transmission mechanism. An accessory is mounted on the housing in a detachable manner. A link member moves in response to mounting and demounting of the accessory. A detection sensor is housed in an interior of the housing and includes a non-contact sensor device. The detection sensor is configured to detect movement of the link member using the non-contact sensor device.
Torque Sensitive Adjustable Locking Grinder Guard
A grinder guard assembly disclosed for a grinder blade includes a rotatable and adjustable indexed grinder guard defining a plurality of indexed and chamfered holes adjacent to an inner ring thereof and an L edge configured on an outer circumference thereof to form a guard by retaining grinding debris and preventing outside intervention. The grinder guard assembly also includes an annulus forming a single member with an inside washer and an outside washer and a space there between configured to slidably retain the indexed grinder guard in a common plane with the washers, the annulus configured to axially attach to a hub of the grinder. The grinder guard assembly further includes torque sensitive protrusions mounted from the outside washer, the protrusions configured to lock with the chamfered holes of the indexed grinder guard and retract therefrom based a torque force applied to the indexed grinder guard relative to the annulus.
Electrode Grinding System
An electrode grinding system includes a vise that may be mounted to a support surface. A grinder is provided and a grinding wheel is rotatably coupled to the grinder. A guide is coupled to the grinder and the grinding wheel is positioned within the guide. The guide is positionable in the vise such that the grinding wheel is retained in a selected orientation. An electrode is provided and the electrode is positioned in a drill. The drill is positioned such that the electrode frictionally engages the grinding wheel. Thus, the grinding wheel shapes the electrode.
Positioning structure for cutting machines or grinder machines
A positioning structure for cutting machines or grinder machines has a rotating shaft and a positioning assembly. The rotating shaft has an abutting face, a fixing portion, at least one mounting protrusion, and a fastening hole. The at least one mounting protrusion axially protrudes from the abutting face, and the fixing portion axially protrudes from the at least one mounting protrusion. The fastening hole is axially formed in the at least one mounting protrusion. The positioning assembly is screwed with the rotating shaft and has a positioning element and a fastening element. The positioning element has an abutting portion and a through hole. The fastening element is mounted through the through hole and the fastening hole. Therefore, when a size of an assembling hole of a cutting disk or a grinder disk changes, the rotating shaft does not need to be changed and reinstalled.
