ANGLE GRINDER INCLUDING NON-REMOVABLE GUARD
An angle grinder includes an output shaft defining a rotational axis, a housing from which the output shaft extends, and a flange coupled to the housing and surrounding the output shaft. The angle grinder further includes a first circumferential groove defined between the flange and the housing, a first array of radially outward-extending slots in the flange and in communication with the first circumferential groove, and a keyway defined in the housing. The keyway is positioned inline with a first of the radially outward-extending slots in the first array. The angle grinder further includes a guard with a second array of radially inward-extending projections and a key positionable within the keyway. The radially inward-extending projections are received in the radially outward-extending slots. The key is able to close the first radially outward-extending slot in the first array to prevent removal of the guard from the housing.
HANDHELD, HAND-GUIDED CUTTING-OFF MACHINE
A handheld, hand-guided cutting-off machine, which includes a rotating cutting-off wheel, a supporting housing part (36), an output shaft (20), which is rotatably supported around an output axis (40), a drive motor, a transmission mechanism (19), which connects the drive motor to the output shaft (20), a flange (41) and a safety guard (24), which covers the cutting-off wheel over a covering area (25). The cutting-off wheel is rotatably fixedly mounted on the output shaft (20) with the aid of the flange (41) and surrounded by the safety guard (24). The safety guard (24) is pivotable around a pivot axis, and the pivot axis is displaced by a distance from the output axis (40) of the output shaft (20).
HANDHELD, HAND-GUIDED CUTTING-OFF MACHINE
A handheld, hand-guided cutting-off machine (10), which includes a rotating cutting-off wheel, a supporting housing part (36), an output shaft, which is rotatably supported around an output axis (40), a drive motor, a transmission mechanism (19), which connects the drive motor to the output shaft, a flange and a safety guard (24), which covers the cutting-off wheel over a covering area. The cutting-off wheel is rotatably fixedly mounted on the output shaft with the aid of the flange and surrounded by the safety guard (24), which is pivotable around a pivot axis. The safety guard (24), the supporting housing part (36) and the transmission mechanism (19) have maximum distances from the output axis (40) over an outcut angle (?), which are less than or equal to half the flange diameter of the flange.
Hand-Held Power Tool Having at Least One Machine-Side Contact Element
A hand-held power tool, in particular an angle grinder, includes a gearing housing part and an accessory equipment. The gearing housing part includes at least one machine-side contact element. The accessory equipment includes at least one accessory equipment-side contact element. In the mounted state of the accessory on the hand-held power tool, the at least one machine-side contact element comes into contact with the at least one accessory-side contact element.
Dust Shroud
A dust shroud having a shroud body with a vacuum port and a tool connection, the shroud body including a top wall and at least one side wall extending downwardly from about a perimeter of the top wall that defines a dust receiving opening, the shroud body having a top wall opening and the tool connection including a flexible fitting with a flexible fitting base joined to the top wall and extending within the top wall opening, the flexible fitting including a plurality of flexible fingers with a base finger portion and an outer finger portion that extends away from top wall and is selectively with a mounting point of the hand held tool and the flexible fingers allowing selective controlled relative movement between the dust shroud and the hand held tool, the fingers having a finger spacing between adjacent flexible fingers and the outwardly extending flexible fingers having a finger length between the top wall and the distal finger end that is greater than 0.75 inches allowing for selective adjustment and relative movement between the dust shroud and the associated hand held grinder.
HANDHELD, HAND-GUIDED CUTTING-OFF MACHINE
A handheld, hand-guided cutting-off machine, which includes a rotating cutting-off wheel, a supporting housing part (36), an output shaft, which is rotatably supported around an output axis (40), a drive motor, a transmission mechanism, which connects the drive motor to the output shaft, a flange (41) and a safety guard (24), which covers the cutting-off wheel over a covering area. The cutting-off wheel is rotatably fixedly mounted on the output shaft with the aid of the flange (41) and surrounded by the safety guard (24). The safety guard (24), the supporting housing part (36) and the transmission mechanism have maximum distances from the output axis (40) over an outcut angle (), which are smaller than or equal to half the flange diameter (d.sub.f).
GRINDER
A grinder according to one aspect of the present disclosure includes a motor, a housing for housing the motor, a spindle protruding from the housing and configured to be driven to be rotated by the motor, a wheel cover configured to cover a part of a tip end tool attached to the spindle, a detector configured to detect the wheel cover, and a controller configured to stop or restrict the spindle being driven by the motor in response to non-detection of the wheel cover by the detector.
