DUST COLLECTOR FOR AN ANGLE GRINDER
20190015948 · 2019-01-17 ·

A dust collector for an angle grinder, comprising a collector body for covering a circular grinding wheel, and a sealing element extending along an outer periphery (U) of the collector body for at least partially sealing the collector body against a surface to be machined by means of the grinding wheel, and comprising a suction connection, by way of which material removed from the surface can be suction out of the collector body. In an axial direction with respect to the axis of rotation (R) of the grinding wheel, the sealing element is spring-mounted in the collector body by means of at least one spring element.

ABRASIVE ARTICLE HAVING A NON-UNIFORM DISTRIBUTION OF OPENINGS

An abrasive article having a plurality of apertures arranged in a non-uniform distribution pattern, wherein the pattern is spiral or phyllotactic, and in particular those patterns described by the Vogel equation. Also, provided is a back-up pad having a spiral or phyllotactic patterns of air flow paths, such as in the form of open channels. The back-up pad can be specifically adapted to correspond with an abrasive article having a non-uniform distribution pattern. Alternatively, the back-up pad can be used in conjunction with conventional perforated coated abrasives. The abrasive articles having a non-uniform distribution pattern of apertures and the back-up pads can be used together as an abrasive system.

GRINDING MACHINE
20180369987 · 2018-12-27 ·

A grinding machine includes a grinding machine body and a grinding disc connected to the grinding machine body. The grinding machine body is provided with a pressure cavity at a position facing the grinding disc and a gas intake pipe corresponding to the pressure cavity. A pressure release gap in communication with the pressure cavity is formed between the grinding machine body and the grinding disc. The gas intake pipe induces a high-pressure gas into the pressure cavity, which receives an effect of the high-pressure gas to become a positive-pressure environment. The high-pressure gas is continually released via the pressure release gap to prohibit external dust from entering the pressure cavity. Thus, the grinding machine is capable of preventing dust from accumulating in the pressure cavity as well as effectively preventing moisture from entering the pressure cavity when the grinding machine is applied for wet grinding.

A portable machining apparatus includes a motor, an output shaft extending in an axial direction and configured to be rotated by a rotational driving force of the motor, a tool accessory configured to perform an eccentric circular motion in response to the rotation of the output shaft, a dust collection fan fixed to the output shaft so as to circumferentially surround the output shaft, a motor cooling fan configured to be rotated by the rotational driving force of the motor, and a balancer attached to at least one fan of the dust collection fan and the motor cooling fan. A flow passage is formed so as to radially outward exhaust air flowing in the axial direction toward the at least one fan at a circumferential position between an edge portion opposite from the balancer in the axial direction and the balancer at which position the balancer is attached.
