Grinding material and production method of grinding material
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a grinding material which has a superior grinding rate and planarizing accuracy, with the grinding rate being less likely to be reduced over a relatively long period of time. The present invention is directed to a grinding material including a base, a grinding layer overlaid on a front face side of the base and including grinding grains and a binder for the grinding grains, and an adhesion layer overlaid on a back face side of the base, in which the grinding grains are diamond grinding grains, a wear quantity of the grinding layer as determined by a Taber abrasion test is no less than 0.03 g and no greater than 0.18 g, and, an Asker D hardness measured from a front face side of the grinding layer is no less than 80° and no greater than 98°.
ABRASIVE ARTICLES INCLUDING CONFORMABLE COATINGS AND POLISHING SYSTEM THEREFROM
The present disclosure relates to abrasive articles including conformable coatings, e.g. a hydrophilic coating, and polishing systems therefrom. The present disclosure provides an abrasive article including a ceramic body having an abrading surface and an opposed second surface, wherein the abrading surface of the ceramic body includes a plurality of engineered features each having a base and a distal end opposite the base and the ceramic body has a Mohs hardness of at least 7.5; a conformable metal oxide coating adjacent to and conforming to the plurality of engineered features, wherein the conformable metal oxide coating includes a first surface; and a conformable polar organic-metallic coating in contact with the first surface of the conformable metal oxide coating, wherein the conformable polar organic-metallic coating includes a chemical compound having at least one metal and an organic moiety having at least one polar functional group.

HIGH-POROSITY CBN VITRIFIED GRINDING STONE HAVING HOMOGENEOUS STRUCTURE
In a high-porosity CBN vitrified grinding stone having a homogeneous structure, a CBN abrasive grain, a large-diameter inorganic hollow filler having an average particle diameter in a range from a grain size one class coarser to a grain size one class finer with respect to a class indicating a grain size of the CBN abrasive grain, and a small-diameter inorganic hollow filler having an average particle diameter of ⅕ to ½ of that of the CBN abrasive grain are bonded by an inorganic bonding agent.
Coated abrasives having a blend of abrasive particles and increased tear resistance
The present invention relates generally to coated abrasive articles that include a blend of abrasive particles, an increased tear resistance, or combinations thereof, as well as methods of making and using said coated abrasive articles.
