Blade sharpeners
A blade sharpener for use with a powered rotary tool having a rotatable sharpening element includes a main body having a bore for receiving the powered rotary tool, where the bore extends through the main body along an axis and the main body has a first channel for receiving a blade to be sharpened. The first channel is perpendicular to the rotary axis and opens into the bore to permit a blade to engage the sharpening element. The blade sharpener also includes a guide having a guide channel for receiving a blade to be sharpened where the guide is pivotally attached to the main body to accommodate any curvature of a blade to be sharpened as the blade sharpener follows along the blade.
Knife sheath
A knife sheath includes a receptacle and an attachment piece for suspending the knife sheath from a user. The knife sheath is provided with a collar which is detachably attached to the receptacle at an opening. An edge receiving portion of the collar is provided with a sharpener that imparts a sharpening action to a blade of a knife which is introduced into the receptacle. The receptacle and the collar are shaped to allow the collar and receptacle to be attached to each other in a first position and in an alternative second position such that the knife sheath is suitable for both left-handed and right-handed users.
SUB (sound utility block)
The present invention provides a knife block apparatus in combination with different utilities, such as a speaker and/or a display device, resulting in a compact and portable apparatus that saves floor space and provides different utilities in a single apparatus. The knife block apparatus is comprised of a knife block that has at least one slot for at least one knife, at least one speaker that is integrated into the knife block, a music player receptacle that is built into the knife block for receiving and holding a music player, such as but not limited to an MP3, and a knife-sharpening unit that is coupled to the base of the knife block. The knife block apparatus may optionally contain a computing device and a display for playing videos and other culinary content, such as recipes. The apparatus is elegant and commercially advantageous through playing coded culinary content from sponsors.
Knife Block With Storage Slot Blade Sharpeners and Cutlery Set Using Same
A knife block may include a block body with a recessed portion and a block insert positioned at least partially within the recessed portion. The block insert may include a first knife slot and a second knife slot. The knife block may include a first knife sharpener coupled to the block insert, where the first knife slot is sized such that a first knife is sharpened by the first knife sharpener each time the first knife is removed from the first knife slot, and a second knife sharpener coupled to the block insert, where the second knife slot is sized such that a second knife is sharpened by the second knife sharpener each time the second knife is removed from the second knife slot. The knife block may include a first knife storage slot and a second knife storage slot.

Combination of a sheath and a knife
A combination of a sharpening sheath and a knife comprising a blade intended to be stored in the sheath, wherein the sheath comprises a cavity intended to receive the blade and an access opening at one of the ends of the cavity, the sheath comprising, in the lower part thereof, a device for receiving the cutting edge of the blade, characterized in that the sheath comprises, in the upper part thereof, a locking element cooperating with a safety element provided on the back of the blade in order to longitudinally immobilize the knife in the sheath and in that the device for receiving the cutting edge of the blade is borne by an arm rotatably mounted in the sheath, the sheath comprising biasing means acting on the arm to bring the receiving device of the cutting edge of the blade towards the locking element.
KNIFE SHARPENING SYSTEMS
Knife sharpener systems and methods are provided. In one exemplary embodiment, a knife sharpening system can include a support structure configured to hold a knife having a handle and a blade extending therefrom, and a carriage assembly mounted on the support structure. The carriage assembly can have a sharpening element that is configured to sharpen a cutting edge of the blade. The carriage assembly can be movable relative to the knife blade to cause the sharpening element to apply a force to the cutting edge of the knife blade.
