TILLAGE IMPLEMENT WITH TRAILING COULTER
20210015021 · 2021-01-21 ·

An implement for tilling the soil and methods of using the same. The implement may include cultivator sweeps arranged in staggered rows, trailing coulters positioned behind a rearmost row of the cultivator sweeps, and a finishing attachment positioned proximate the trailing coulters. The trailing coulters are designed to penetrate deeper into the soil than the cultivator sweeps. The method includes passing such an implement through the soil such that the trailing coulters pass through the soil after the sweeps and the finishing attachment passes over and/or through the soil.

Agricultural implement with a scraper internal to a rolling basket

An agricultural implement having a rolling basket which includes a plurality of elongated members arranged in a substantially cylindrical shape. A stationary internal scraper is disposed in the inner chamber of the rolling basket and is adapted for breaking up a material from the inner chamber as the rolling basket is rotated around the major axis of rotation of the rolling basket. The internal scraper extends in an upward direction with respect to the major axis of rotation of the rolling basket with the upper edge of the internal scraper distally spaced away from and above the major axis of rotation of the rolling basket and with the lower edge of the internal scraper distally spaced away from and above the major axis of rotation of the rolling basket. The upper edge of the internal scraper is positioned above the lower edge.

OSCILLATION DAMPING FEATURES FOR A FINISHING ASSEMBLY OF AN AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT

In one aspect, a finishing assembly for an agricultural implement may include first and second rolling baskets, a basket support assembly configured to support the first and second rolling baskets relative to each other, a linkage pivotably coupled to the basket support assembly at a pivot point, and at least one damping element. The at least one damping element may be configured to damp pivoting of the basket support assembly about the pivot point in both a first pivot direction and a second pivot direction, the second pivot direction being opposite the first pivot direction.

Disc leveling system

A disc conditioner to work soil in a forward direction including a main support structure, a secondary support structure that protrudes from the main support structure in the forward direction, a main disc assembly affixed to the main support structure, and a secondary disc assembly that is affixed to the secondary support structure and protrudes from the main disc assembly in the forward direction. The secondary disc assembly generates an oscillating soil and residue flow along a central axis of the disc conditioner that levels the soil.

Rolling basket internal scraper

A basket rotates about a basket axis with respect to an implement frame when moving in a direction of travel. The basket includes first and second end plates and a plurality of blades extending therebetween. The blades engage the ground surface as the basket rotates and each include a first end and a second end positioned closer to the basket than the first end. The basket defines an internal volume between the first and second end plates and the second ends of the blades. An internal scraper is positioned within the internal volume of the basket such that a portion of the internal scraper extends rearward of a vertical plane extending through the basket axis in the direction of travel and vertically away from the ground surface above a horizontal second plane extending through the basket axis. The internal scraper extends at an acute angle with respect to horizontal.

A cultivator is provided for cultivating a field. The cultivator can have a frame with a tow assembly so that the cultivator can be towed by a tractor. A cultivating assembly can be provided pivotally attached to the rear of the frame. The cultivating assembly can have a plurality of discs that engage and penetrate the soil beneath the cultivating assembly. The cultivating assembly can have a center section pivotally connected at the to the rear end of the frame, a first wing section pivotally connected to one side of the center section, a second wing pivotally connected the other side of center section where all the sections have discs connected to them. A pair of ground wheels can be provided connected to the center section so that the ground wheels are positioned in front of the cultivating assembly when it is being used to cultivate a field.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REGULATING THE FLOW OF FLUID SUPPLIED TO ACTUATORS OF AN AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT

In one aspect, a system for regulating the flow of fluid supplied to actuators of an agricultural implement may include a tool and a fluid-driven actuator configured to actuate the tool relative to a surface. The system may also include a pump configured to supply fluid to the fluid-driven actuator and a valve configured to control a flow of the fluid supplied to the fluid-driven actuator. Furthermore, the system may include a first sensor configured to detect a parameter indicative of a first pressure upstream of the valve and a second sensor configured to detect a parameter indicative of a second pressure downstream of the valve. Additionally, the system may include a controller communicatively coupled to the first and second sensors, with the controller configured to determine a pressure differential across the valve based on measurement signals received from the first and second sensors.

VERTICAL TILLAGE SYSTEM

A vertical tilling implement to be pulled behind and agricultural vehicle having a number of gangs of fluted-concave disc blades, rolling baskets, and wheels connected to a main frame. As the vertical tilling implement is pulled, the fluted-concave disc blades move the soil in a direction lateral to the side of the blades as well as up. Meanwhile, the rolling bars aid in leveling the seedbed and crushing the remaining large pieces of soil. The vertical tilling implement reduces the amount of subsoil compaction and cuts through heavy residue making it ideal for use in the fall or in the spring.
