TOOLING FIXTURE
Tooling fixture includes an installation mount, a rail fixed to the installation mount and a pair of movable jaws which can be clamped or loosened relative to each other and are fixed on the rail. A clamping drive structure for clamping the movable jaws is connected to the movable jaws. The clamping drive mechanism includes a screw and a screw nut matched with the screw. The movable jaws are connected with the screw nut respectively. The screw is rotated, and the movable jaws move relatively to clamp or loosen the work piece. By the cooperation of the screw and the nut, the movable jaws slide on the rail to effectively clamp the work piece. In addition, the number of movable jaws can be set on demand so that they are matched with the screw and the screw nut.

An apparatus for converting a single-station vise to a double-station vise includes a pair of end converter jaws, a central converter jaw, and two pairs of shafts configured to extend along opposite sides of the single-station vise. Each of the shafts in the first pair is mounted for sliding movement relative to the first end converter jaw and fixed with respect to the second end converter jaw; each of the shafts in the second pair is fixed relative to the first end converter jaw and mounted for sliding movement relative to the second converter jaw; and all of the shafts are mounted for sliding movement relative to the central converter jaw.

This is achieved in that a right-hand thread and a left-hand thread (10) are worked onto the drive spindle (9) in regions, in that the respective thread (10) of the drive spindle (9) is enclosed or encapsulated by a cover sleeve (21), in that the cover sleeve (21) has a right-hand thread and a left-hand internal thread (22), which are drivably coupled to the respective thread (10) of the drive spindle (9), in that a right-hand and a left-hand external thread (23), which is in engagement with the respective internal thread (12) of the base jaw (11), is worked on to the cover sleeve (21).

A fixture block composite structure for workpiece positioning comprises a fixture block group composed of at least a stop fixture block and at least a one-sided movable fixture block. The stop fixture block is fixed to a base by a plurality of mountings, and two opposite lateral sides of the stop fixture block in the extending direction of base are provided with a fixed upright positioning plane respectively. A workpiece clamping device having at least one base body. A first clamping body and a second clamping body are movably supported on the at least one base body in a clamping direction. A threaded spindle extends along a spindle longitudinal axis. The spindle longitudinal axis is orientated in clamping direction. It has a first thread section for the first clamping body and a second thread section for the second clamping body. A first coupling body has a first counter thread portion and a second coupling body has a second counter thread portion. In a coupling position the counter thread portions are in engagement with the assigned thread section respectively. In a decoupling position the counter thread portion is disengaged from the assigned thread section. In this decoupling position a movement of the clamping bodies is possible without rotation of the threaded spindle.

Clamping devices and associated methods that are useful to develop both axial and circumferential clamping forces in response to a common axial clamping force. The clamp is able to use a simple mechanism to generate both kinds of clamping forces from a single, axial actuating force. The clamping devices of the present invention are particularly useful for clamping cover and base deck components of a hard disk drive enclosure together to allow the components to be joined and sealed together using welding techniques.
